And then there were 4……. Many of you may have seen our posts from last week about the 5 dogs that were abandoned by their Rescue organization and left at our kennel. We are boarding, feeding, loving on and supporting these pups as our own, but we need your help. We are looking for individuals/families to help through fostering, adopting or contributing time or finances to their support. If you can help in any way, please let us know. **URGENT REQUEST FOR HELP**

Something you may not know is we have been net-working and boarding Rescue dogs primarily saved from Harris County and Barc since 2020. It has been both gratifying and sad. The different Rescue organizations have ranged from heroic and responsible to “not so much”. It is so tough for our furry friends on the streets making litters and litters of unwanted puppies. Houston has so many dogs who have not been neutered or spayed and allowed to run the roads, thus creating a never ending horror film. Houston has a deplorable record on how we treat animals. I’m just asking that we all do better and help where we can.

Ok let’s lighten the mood🐾. These babies are all available for adoption. We would love for you to come meet them, share this with your friends or donate to their care. They were abandoned by their Rescue and left in our care. If you would like to donate $5 per hour, we will LET (wink, wink) you walk them. These are really good dogs and you will look stunning walking them down your street. Seriously if you are interested or know someone please call or message us. Our number is 281-376-6744.

Hey Friends we wanted to share with you our experience with Fromm. They are a premium dog/cat food company. They have 2 plants in Wisconsin and all of their food products are produced in those 2 plants. We have used their food in our boarding facility since 2018 and last year several of us began ordering food and treats for our personal dogs. The dogs love the Crunchy'o treats and the Four-Star Nutritional's Whitefish & Potato Recipe Dog Food. We keep these available for sale at the kennel. Fromm is not found in may stores because they want people who know their products to represent them. If you have special request for different Fromm products, talk to us and we can make arrangements to bring it in for you. We also have an excellent vendor that can answer any questions you may have.

I have to brag on our team. This pup, Kenji came to us as a rescue on 9/3/21. Kenji was completely feral. We could not handle him, leash him or even remove the harness he arrived with. It took months and most of our staff members engaged with him with a personal goal of getting him out of the prison he had put himself in, in his mind. They’re mission was to prove to him he could trust us and that we would love him to wholeness. It took hours of consistent behavior and love on our part and little by little he opened his heart. Cheese helped 😉. Today we saw him leave, heading to an amazing foster family in Canada. He bonded very well with Christine who is transporting him all the way to his new home. A big shout out to Last Minute Dog Rescue for first of all saving him and investing in him by paying his boarding fees, vet bills and meds for over two years. They have been a great partner in one of the most difficult cases I’ve ever seen. There were lots of tears flowing today and we will miss him so much but our desire for him to have a normal dog life and be loved by a special family far outweighs our sadness. So today we celebrate the village it took to save one special dog. We love you Kenji and pray the rest of your life will be absolutely the best.
