Saying goodbye never gets any easier. No matter the circumstances be it ill for long periods, fighting to still be here or an un forseen emergency making the decision for us.
The sadness in the barn is felt by all. No longer the first to sound off when the barn door opens. No more throwing of the jolly ball out on to the walk way for the hundredth time so it can be tossed back in for a game of toss the jolly ball. That ting sound of a hoof on the walker panel when he says I'm done and ready to come in. Little moments we will all miss.
Hold tight to the memories they give us. Cherish the time we have with them.
We feel very blessed to have been loved and got to love such an extraordinary creature.
