Mississippi Coalition for Animal Protection We are a 501(c)3 Non-Profit Charity. We also work with many other rescue partners both inside and outside of South Mississippi. We are ALL VOLUNTEERS!!!

We rescue, rehabilitate and rehome (when needed) animals in crisis, by balancing animal comfort and public safety by supporting local Law Enforcement, Red Cross and Non-Violence Center. MCAP was created to Rescue, Rehabilitate and Rehome animals in crisis (including housing pets experiencing domestic violence), ensure healthy pets through education, advocacy and affordable services (including TNR)

, inspire the community where the animal-human bond is celebrated and nurtured, maximizing live outcomes for animals, while balancing animal comfort and public safety by supporting local law enforcement & animal control officers in South Mississippi as well as assisting Emergency Operations Centers & the American Red Cross during natural disasters. We could not do any of this without our

🍂🎃October is here, and so is our Snip-tober Special!🎃🍁

Thanks to BISSELL Pet Foundation’s Fix the Future™ initiative, you can now "leaf" those high costs behind! Fix your male or female cat for FREE all October long (community cats included)! There’s just a $25 fee to help cover the cost of surgical supplies.

📌 Booking online? You’ll see regular pricing, but the discounted rate will be applied at check-in on surgery day.

🩺 Included with each surgery:
✔️ FREE microchip available
✔️ Proof of current rabies vaccine required; A FREE rabies vaccine is available if needed
✔️ A FREE FVRCP vaccine is available if needed
✔️ Limit 5 cats per client, per day
✔️ Owned cats must be in carriers (one per cat)
✔️ Community cats must arrive in humane live traps

Do not ask us to PROVIDE CARE for YOUR KITTENS & expect to comtinue to keep them in your care. We will not be doing so UNLESS the cats are placed into one of OUR APPROVED FOSTER HOMES!!!

*** Just because we are a RESCUE.... This does not mean we get vaccinations or any other supplies for FREE. We still have to pay for food, vaccinations, preventive medicines,Vet Care and such... YES, sometimes people are generous to provide a donation of food or something, but it DOES NOT HAPPEN MONTHLY!!!!

SADLY, due to others TAKING ADVANTAGE of RESCUE, we will not be taking in more cats or kittens until our current APPROVED foster homes fur babies have finished their care (growing and completed spay neuter surgeries).

We are sorry we have had to put this policy in place permanently & not on a case by case situation.

These individuals know exactly who they are & didn"t steal from us humans.... Because NONE of our people recieve payroll ... (100% Volunteers) & ALL FUNDS go straight back into the care of the animals!!!! But you took away from the rest of the animals currently in care in our rescue.

Introducing Chloe!!!!!

This sweet girl has lived in a SHELTER for almost a year. Sadly she was found as a stray dog on Christmas Eve of 2024. Shes been in the shelter since with noone ever coming to claim her. Noone ever applying to adopt her.

Chloe is the sweetest girl.
She DOES NOT like cats!!

Chloe would ge get as a single dog home!!!
Shes SUPER AFFECTIONATE!!!!
