🌟 Introducing Artie🌟

OLD ENGLISH SHEEP DOG

Artie is a sweet boy that LOVES ❤️ the outside even if it's raining. However, he greatly enjoys coming inside with his people!!

Artie is crate trained & house trained. As you can see in photos, he won't cross through a baby gate without permission. He will put himself into his crate at bedtime.

Artie LOVES Treats & especially the Toys that have treats inside them. He will show you all his tricks if you offer dog treats. He will keep himself busy if given balls and other toys.

He has great manners & loves attention. He would do great with an active family.

Artie has had a hard start in rescue. He was attacked by his own litter mates while in the play yard with his siblings. Artie still trusts other dogs (except the siblings). He is very curious about other animals, but hasnt lived with other species at this time.

💥Meet Rae Rae💥
Chihuahua
She is a sweet heart.
She loves to be with a her people.

Rae Rae was adopted as a baby. Unfortunately her adopter tried to return her to the rescue that she came from. The rescue refused to take her back.

Another rescue stepped in and accepted her back from the adopter. Rae Rae is a good girl, she is crate trained. She's scared of being dropped when you pick her up, but she'll get in your lap. It is suspected that she may have been dropped as a young pup.

Bailey's Adoption Story ~ This young lady had a rough start to life, she was abandoned as a baby dumped in a remote area. She's been in rescue for over a year with a fellow rescue & unfortunately she had no applications.

💥 We assisted a fellow rescue partner with getting their furbabies onto PetFinder.....

Bailey was listed on PetFinder after just 23 minutes, we received an application for her!! She will be leaving Mississippi Coalition for Animal Protection on Thursday morning and transported to her new family by Meows & Mutts Rescue . We will post updates to this story after she arrives to her family on the East Coast!!

They are very excited to get her!!!! We look forward to updates about her life!!

❤️ SOPHIA the Chihuahua is available for adoption. ❤️ 3 years old.

She currently lives in a MEDICAL FOSTER home.
She's been in rescue for over a year, due to no fault of her own.

Sophia was surrendered to rescue after she consumed a bag of (illegal drugs). She was rushed to the vet by her rescue president. After a huge fight to save her life, she survived thanks to the quick actions of the rescue & vet.

💥💥 Photos in sweater are her now. The later photos are of her intake day & treatment while detoxing from a drug overdose that was almost fatal. 💥💥

VET APPROVAL is required!!! Your vet must be on board with understanding Sophia's past medical issues.

Not just anyone will be approved to adopt, if you are interested, you will first talk to foster mom about her medical concerns. Medical foster mom has been with Sophia through her issues & is well versed in her care.

Spayed, up-to-date vaccinations, microchipped.

PetFinder has apparently CRASHED again. Unfortunately this hurts rescues & animals.

We are going to post all animals in individual posts & hopefully other people will see them.

Below is the screen public people are getting where rescues are not even able to log into the service side of the site.

Unfortunately this is costing beautiful animals to not be adopted. Adopters after talking to rescues for hours and days are BACKING out of adoptions ......

🚨🚨🚨 EMERGENCY PLACEMENT. 🚨🚨🚨 Short term Foster Needed!!

Needed BEFORE Christmas RISK OF BEING EUTHANIZED if they stay where they are!!

These babies were saved & put into a rescue in Central Mississippi. It's closing due to founders sudden health issues. She got all dogs adopted except these 2!! We will cover vet care if we can find a foster to take 1 or nothing for up to 60 days.

These babies are both SWEET BABIES and need a chance to find their forever homes!! Both fixed & up to date on vaccinations!!

Please message me ASAP if uou want to foster or adopt!!!!

We need PUPPY FOSTERS!!!!

🔥 Fosters will be given Priority on adoption 🔥

We have 18 in total!!
Yes the mom dogs were BOTH SPAYED!!
This will not happen again. Both moms are staying with owner, but puppies can not!!!

We will allow fosters in as small as groups of 2 to 4. We'd love to be able to have 3 solid groups of 6 each!!! These babies cannot remain where they are as they are approaching their 12 week mark of age & legally not allowed to stay past 12 weeks.

Please comment below if you can commit to fostering some of these pups. We will provide Vet Care!!

These puppies are American Staffordshire Terriers (AmStaffs) are generally known for being affectionate, loyal, and good with people.

The American Staffordshire Terrier is strong, muscular, and stocky, with a broad head and full cheeks. Its “rose” ears (in which the top folds over and back) are sometimes cropped short. It stands 17 to 19 inches (43 to 48 cm) tall at the withers and weighs roughly 40 to 70 pounds (18 to 32 kg). Its stiff glossy coat may occur in any colour, with or without patches of contrasting colour, and many dogs have some white on the head, throat, and chest.

💗 They can also be playful, adaptable, and protective. However, they can sometimes be aggressive, especially towards other dogs. They may also become overprotective of children.

💥Here are some other traits of American Staffordshire Terriers:
💥Energy
They are energetic dogs that enjoy being included in their family's activities.
💥Mental and physical stimulation
They require a lot of mental and physical stimulation. Without enough exercise and enrichment, they may become destructive.
💥Temperament
They are generally considered to be more even-tempered than pit bull terriers, though the two breeds share many similarities.

❤️American Staffordshire Terriers are a distinct breed from American Pit Bull Terriers and Staffordshire Bull Terriers.

🔥🔥 A few of these pups may be special needs pups due to possibility of being DEAF. Our vet will further evaluate them upon intake!!

This is why we love our fosters that are able to expose kitties to dogs as well so they just fit right into almost any family!!!

Last group goes to East Coast the end of this week Thanks to Meows & Mutts Rescue driving the East Coast Route they've ceeated!!!

This is Sweetie Pie, she is one of the 115 cats that came from Central Mississippi. She's circled in red on left in group photo.

She was discovered to have a Prolapse uterus , which she had surgery to be spayed & was treated. She had to go back again today because she was passing blood clots, from an internal infection.

Please say a prayer for her recovery. If you have it in your heart & pocketbook to donate to her care even, $5 helps.

Please know the dangers of treats on the market!! Please keep your baby healthy & out of the ER.

🔴🟢 Please don't put this in your dog's Christmas stocking 🟢🔴

It's that time of year again when store shelves are stocked with Christmas-themed rawhide "treats" for our dogs.

Before you purchase rawhide for your dog, PLEASE read the following. You may be shocked at how it's made and the chemicals used in the process...chemicals that your dog is consuming when you give him rawhide as a "treat."

⚠️⚠️ DID YOU KNOW? ⚠️⚠️

Rawhide is a dog chew that’s a by-product of the LEATHER industry.

It is made from the inner layer of either cow or horse hides. The outer layer of the hides is the leather that is used for shoes, garments, upholstery, etc.

The inner rawhide is treated, dehydrated, and then formed into various shapes as a dog chew.

Once the hide has been separated from the animal, it’s first dipped into high salt brines to slow the decay which can make it very salty.

The hide will also be cleaned with detergent and degreasers and sterilized with low concentrations of hydrogen peroxide.

The next step after this is to remove any hair or fat attached, which involves harsh chemical combinations.

Then additional chemicals, such as lime, are deployed to separate the layers of skin.

Once the hide has been separated, it is ready to be made into rawhide for dogs. During this process, artificial colors and flavors may be added to make them look and smell more appealing, and they’re then manipulated into fun shapes which can sometimes involve glue.

Some risks of rawhide for dogs (other than the variety of chemicals they are ingesting):

1. Rawhide can cause intestinal obstruction

2. Can be a choking hazard

3. Can break your dog's teeth

4. Contamination/exposure to salmonella or E. coli to dogs & people.

Miss Chloe is looking for a home that will allow her to be prissy when she wants & come love on her people when she needs love on her schedule. She loves toys, treats & wet food!!!

She is spayed, microchipped, and up-to-date on vaccinations!! She is approximately 14 months old.

Sweetie Pie is one of the 115 cats from Clinton Mississippi that went into our rescue with Mobile Cat Society coordinating the entire rescue. The cats were divided up into multiple rescues as no one rescue could have realistically took in 115 cats in one shot.

Sweetie Pie has been seen by the vet, recently spayed & is in a foster home recovering from surgery. She will be ready for adoption BEFORE Christmas!!!!
