This plea is for Sea Lion a 9yo male DSH weighing 6.8lbs. On August 25th, a concerned citizen called regarding a sick colony cat off Lake Drive in Atlanta.
Without a microchip or a collar with tags, Sea Lion found himself hitching a ride back to the shelter with one of our road officers.

Sea Lion came to us in overall pretty poor condition. He is fairly underweight with a body score of only 2/9, has a high grade left sided heart murmur, stomatitis, ulcers in his mouth, requires his remaining teeth to be extracted, and to top it all off he is FIV+.
I have attached his more detailed medical history as well as a copy of his bloodwork for consideration.

Sea lion is extremely friendly and has a great appetite! He has an ear tip but does not have a microchip. We are unsure why his family has yet to come for him, but our hope is someone has space in their home to give him a second chance at life!

If you can find it in your heart to help this senior guy, it would be greatly appreciated! PLEASE reach out to me for more information.

I'm not sure what happened. They said they would love me forever. I tried to learn everything they taught me, I did my best to be a "good boy." I LOVED when they would smile, say, "Good Boy," and pat my head. 🩵🥺 I could even tell when they seemed sad, and I would sit with them to cheer them up.

That day in August was a confusing😕 day for me. We loaded into the car 🚗 like we had many times before, but this time my bed was in the car too.

When we got to our destination there were lots of dog smells and barking. Then you patted me on the head and left. I really thought you'd be back. We've been family for 14 years, but I guess you aren't coming back for me.😥
I'm sure you have a good reason, but gosh, I miss you.

Now I have a deadline, and I face euthanization unless I am RESCUED by Sat., Aug. 24 at 4 pm. You see, I'm 🛟Rescue Only🛟 and I overheard that I have had ZERO interest. 😭😭 I am Rescue Only because I'm not in great health--maybe I'll require medical care or maybe I'll be a fospice dog. Either way I am old and, have lots of lumps and bumps. I know you said I don't get along with other animals when you said good bye so that's another piece of information people have to consider.

Well, they sure have tried to treat me well here at the shelter. They feed me, talk real nice to me, gave me a bed, my own space, and they get me outside when they can. Boy, does my tail wag when I get pets and snuggles from volunteers. 🥹 I have even been friendly to 🐕 dogs I have met along the fenceline. If this is where it all ends, at least these folks are trying their best.

‼️Fourteen year old Oreo is HW- and needs a RESCUE by Sat., Aug. 24 at 4 pm.‼️

As the cost of owning a pet and veterinary care continues to soar, let Planned PEThood help! We are thrilled to announce our next Community Pet Clinic. Our team is heading to the Tadmore Elementary School Gymnasium (3278 Gillsville Hwy, Gainesville, GA 30507) on September 21st from 9 am to 1 pm. Pets will be offered FREE vaccines, microchips, flea preventative, pet supplies, and spay/neuter vouchers.

Please make note of the following restrictions:
🐾 Event is limited to Hall County residents only.
🐾 Served on a first-come, first-served basis, while supplies last. Limit 3 pets per household.
🐾 All dogs must be on a leash and all cats must be in a carrier.

Help is needed! Donations are needed for sweet baby Jeep's additional bloodwork and medical tests. This 10-week-old baby was almost euthanized due to lack of interest. He's a sweet, wobbly baby, and we need to determine the cause. We've spent hundreds to stabilize him, including bloodwork to check for FIP, and he's currently on FIP medication. Hello everyone! My friend is fostering a disabled kitten named Shadow through the Gwinnett Humane Society. Shadow is 2.5 months old, full of life, and loves cuddles and playing.
