The first is to heal abused, neglected, and abandoned dogs that are scheduled for euthanasia in our local Florida Animal Service facilities with the focus of adoption. We are a Foster/Hospice-Home-Based all-volunteer staffed organization that focuses on “Bully Breed” and “Mastiff” type dogs for RRinc and All Breed for PGY. Goes above and beyond to ensure the mental and physical welfare of the dogs

is first and foremost. We focus on the dogs from the “Time sensitive” Shelter lists but we also work in conjunction with our “Homeless No More” project to keep bully and senior dogs home with their families and out of our shelters. Oftentimes individuals look at the option of surrendering their dog due to emergencies, changes in family structure, behavior, obedience issues, or financial instability. Homeless No More gives families with unruly dogs the proper skills and training to work with and encourage a stronger bond between owner and dog in the hopes of keeping them together forever. Our “Forever Memories” program offer’s financial assistance to senior dog owners whom are at the end of life care stage.

💛 Meet Bodhi & Molly: Two Little Fighters With Big Hearts 💛

Some stories just wrap themselves around you.
Bodhi and Molly — our tiny 4-month-old bully pups — are exactly that kind of story.

These babies don’t have a single hair on their heads right now. Their little bodies are overwhelmed with severe demodex mange, open sores, scabs, crusting skin, and an upper respiratory infection that makes every breath a little harder than it should be. At barely 13 lbs each, they’re half the size they should be… but somehow, their spirits are bigger than ever.

And here’s the part that gets us every time:

Despite everything they’re carrying, Bodhi and Molly greet each day with gentle tail wags, soft snuggles, and the kind of quiet joy that says they still believe in people, in love, and in their chance at a better tomorrow.

We believe in that tomorrow too.
We’re committed to giving them the medical care, comfort, and healing they need to finally feel what happy, healthy puppyhood is supposed to be.

🫵🏻 We are in dire need of a local foster parent ASAP! 🫵🏻

We are taking in these two sweet, demodex puppies who are only 13 and 14lbs - 12 weeks old. We had foster parents lined up for them, but one parent had to back out last minute that means we need YOU!

Have you fostered dogs prior? Have demodex experience?

Fostering for Rugaz Rescue Inc. is free! We supply crate/bowls/collars/leashes and all medical supplies. You only supply a safe place for them to heal and rest until a forever home is found.

This week's Transformation Tuesday goes out to our amazing survivor "Valkyrie" 💞

"Valkyrie" came to Rugaz Rescue Inc. when she was caught a terrified stray, starving and a massive section of her face having been ripped off.

Sweet V is a survivor, and when you've won this gorgeous Presa girl's heart over - you are her world! Although no one ever came forward with information on how she came to be in the condition she was or how her injuries happened - her spirit remains whole. A true unconditional love for her inner circle and the silliest of games she loves to play keeps a smile on all our faces.

Miss Valkyrie has made one hell of a transformation and is now ready to find her forever home!

🎃👻 Halloween is a spooktacularly fun time for humans of all ages, but please remember it can be scary for some pups. Even if your pup enjoy's getting dressed up and coming along for some good ole trick r' treating - Keep in mind not all dog's are created equal in all situations! 🎃👻

Some pups may fear different costumes, different sounds, smells and you never know which of those might be scary through the night. So please proceed with your pups on this All Hallow's eve with caution and keep it a safe and fun one!
