⚕️🐾 Ichabod: Frenchie Puppy Abandoned Because He Was “Broken” With Cherry Eyes, Now Needs URGENT Surgery 🐾⚕️
When the shelter called about a “simple cherry eye” Frenchie puppy, we said no problem! Easy routine fix we do all the time, right? WRONG. The second Ichabod landed in our medical foster’s arms, we knew this wasn’t going to be a small eye repair on a healthy puppy. He sounded like a bowl of Rice Krispies—snap, crackle, and oh hell no off to emergency we go.
Turns out, our 6-month-old baby boy wasn’t just rocking a cherry eye repair. He was fighting aspiration pneumonia—and that “small” eye issue? Now two angry, inflamed, inside-out eyelids from hell. His poor face looked like he was in the ring with Rocky - more than once. It hurts our souls to see him this way.
While most puppies his age are learning zoomies, Ichabod is learning how to breathe again. He’s on 24-hour care: oxygen treatments, nebulizer sessions every two hours, hourly eye drops, ointments, antibiotics… the works. And through all of it, this little gremlin wiggles his nub, leans in for snuggles, and insists on loving the humans trying to save him.
No 6-month-old should already know what suffering feels like. Dumped, sick, struggling to breathe — and yet still full of love. We promised Ichabod we’d fight for him, but we can’t do it without you. His medical care, treatments, and upcoming surgeries are already stacking up faster than his medical team can grab coffee.
🐾 Help us give Ichabod the happy ending he deserves.
Donate, share, scream into the void for him — whatever you can do helps. 🙏🏻
