🌀 ATTENTION BLUE SKIES CLIENTS 🌀

With hurricane season underway, this is your friendly reminder to make sure your horse is up to date on vaccines and has a current coggins should you need to evacuate.

While in the past coggins and health certificates have been temporarily waived to allow evacuation from major hurricanes, many of the facilities offering temporary stabling still require horses to be up to date with vaccines and coggins.

You can reach out to any of our veterinarians to get that scheduled if needed. Please keep in mind that results can take a week or so to get back.

Welcome to the Blue Skies team, Dr. Natalie Brooks! We are so excited to have you here!

Dr. Natalie was born and raised in Rogersville, a small town in East Tennessee. She graduated from the University of Tennessee in 2020 where she got her bachelor’s degree in animal sciences and a minor in Wildlife and Fisheries Sciences. She attended veterinary school at Lincoln Memorial University and graduated in 2024. Although she did not grow up in the horse world, she developed a love for horses and equine medicine during college while working at her large animal vet assistant job. Attending multiple equine practices during her clinical year solidified her love for equine medicine and ambulatory practice. Dr. Natalie's professional interests include preventative/wellness care, foal care, diagnostic imaging, and ruminant medicine. She is also interested in chiropractic and acupuncture medicine and hopes to gain certification in the future. When she's not working, she enjoys crocheting, hiking, biking, and reading at home with her two cats, Flynn and Tater. She is excited to explore the central Florida area and discover the beautiful nature and people!

Welcome Dr. Chelsea! We are excited to have you join the Blue Skies team! 💙

Dr. Chelsea Palladino discovered her love of horses when she started riding lessons, later solidified when she met her beloved childhood horse Monty at the age of 10. For the next 15 years Monty showed a young Dr. Palladino the ropes of riding, horse care and just what a special connection with a horse can do, ultimately inspiring her veterinary journey.

Born and raised in Chatham Center, New York, Chelsea grew up riding and showing in 4H and working in her family’s lawn care service. She attended Russell Sage College in Troy, New York where she received a bachelor's degree in biology. While in college she had many veterinary jobs, but her favorite was working on the thoroughbred breeding farm of one of her veterinary mentors. She enjoyed being home in New York, to care for Monty who passed away at the age of 33. She completed a Master’s degree at Lincoln Memorial University (LMU) in Harrogate, TN and then went on to receive her doctorate from LMU’s College of Veterinary Medicine.

Dr. Palladino moved to Florida with her cat, Noodles and looks forward to exploring her new home. She enjoyed foxhunting with the Old Chatham Hunt Club when she was in New York and hopes to continue that hobby here in Florida. While she loves all creatures (especially Noodles), Dr. Palladino is passionate about equine medicine. Her favorite part of the job is caring for geriatric horses and helping them to live as comfortably as possible as they age. Her other professional interests include, dentistry, nutrition, reproduction and preventive medicine. She looks forward to meeting you and your horses!

Welcome Dr. Lindsay!

Dr. Lindsay Garrison is a Florida native from Winter Springs. Having always loved horses, she began riding at age 8 and rode competitively in hunter jumpers. She earned her undergraduate degree in animal science at Berry College in Georgia. While there, she worked at Berry’s dairy and sheep barn and found a passion for working with ruminants. Lindsay then returned to Florida to earn her doctorate in veterinary medicine at the University of Florida. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, knitting, reading, scuba diving, horse back riding, and spending time with her two cats Milo and Mendel. 🐴

Show season is upon us! If your animal is going to need a health certificate, please plan accordingly and schedule their exam in advance. To expedite the process, please be prepared to provide the show name and address, the transporter name and address, the animals permanent identification if applicable, as well as their age, breed, color, and gender.
