We still do not know exactly what the primary cause is but it seems to viral. There are many antibiotics that are helping depending on which bacteria is possibly causing a secondary issue.

Update on Dr. Karagas Reeder......
Dr. K and baby William are finally home after 29 days in NICU. Everyone is well and excited to be home. Dr. K will start easing back to work next week. Again THANK YOU for all your support and kindness over the past month.

***Low Cost Spay/Neuter***

For the past 1.5 years Animal Care Center and Black Dog Rescue have been partnered to assist our community in a LOW COST spay/neuter program in efforts to decrease the overpopulation and assist those in need of altering their pet. Our program has had much success but there is still much work to be done as our area rescues are overwhelmed.
Donations to help the program can be made thru Animal Care Center under Black Dog Rescue's account. Thanks for all the support!!!!

We want to let everyone know Dr. K is currently in the hospital due to pregnancy related complications. She and baby are fine, and her doctors are monitoring them closely. Please, please bear with our clinic during this time as there will be a few changes in scheduling. We will return to normal as soon as Dr. K is available again.
