Thank you Pamela, Angela and Marika for helping us with supplies for the colonies we support ❤️ even though we are winding down, we always support cats we’ve helped over the years.

We have one little guy Charles who is still having some health issues and having more testing done next week to get to the bottom of it (he was formerly Raynes baby Mazin). We also had one of our cats returned to the rescue this week who was injured and needed emergency support. Huge thank you to Gillies Grove Animal Hospital for always being there for us when we are in need and getting them in fast.

We have a mini auction coming up in February that will hopefully cover these last expenses ❤️

Happy Heavenly Birthday Betty White 🎂 what a beautiful way to celebrate you by announcing our sassy Paula has found her forever family!

If you were considering making a Betty White Challenge donation we would love to load up some of our colonies with wet food before we close. It really helps keep them hydrated, they stick around more so they can be monitored and it helps them bond with the feeders.

Cried a lot today happy, sad and nostalgic tears😅 we have had many of our cats like King here moving on to bigger and better things (forever families or foster to adopts). It was a 7 hour day of transport, supplies, movement etc and I think I cried 6 times lol we are getting very close to the end and will formally close our doors at the end of February.

We have a few neuters upcoming we are sponsoring, we’d love to load up colony care takers we work with on food/supplies and close out all the loose ends or anyone we missed. We will have a mini auction in early February to cover that ❤️

I will say, since we’ve started to wind down, I have had so much time to enjoy my family more, my kids have started having friends over again because we don’t have so many foster cats and my health is definitely improving (just in time for perimenopause to say hellloooo lol).

Many of you know I’ll be doing a side project with my cat Biggie that will be education based but also help a few chonky cats along the way. I don’t think a rescuer ever truly quits rescue 😅 it’s in our souls. I’ll still be here for our adopters, local organizations and friends as much as I can be when time permits.

How gorgeous is Bella 🥹 she will be ready for adoption soon through . We want to send a huge thank you to their team, our adoptions have been really slow and they not only helped us get a spay spot for her while everyone was closed but are also taking her under their adoption program. Affordable spay and neuter surgeries, Lanark Leeds Grenville Brockville, Elizabethtown, Kitley

While we work on more transport days and (hopefully) more clinic spay and neuter days.... right now here is what we offer to support families to get their pets spayed or neutered.

You can take your cat or dog to the Lanark Leeds & Grenville Spay Neuter Clinic on your own on one of our "sponsored spots".

How does it work?
Fill out our 2025 General form - https://form.jotform.com/250053025390243

In the bottom box where it asks if you wish to take your own pet to Lanark Leeds & Grenville Spay Neuter Clinic - say YES. That will get the process started.

Once approved we will help you get set up to book an appointment with the clinic that is convenient for you and them. You pay the balance, we pay the sponsorship. All done!

What do we sponsor for these days?
Cats
Owners pay
$150 + HST for a female spay
$100 + HST for a male neuter
We pay the balance

Dogs
Prices vary by weight and gender - so check out the Lanark Leeds & Grenville Spay Neuter Clinic price list at - https://613345spay.ca/untitled-1/ Once you get an idea of how much your dog will cost - subtract our $100 sponsorship from that and that is the price you pay.

- Check out the Ottawa Humane Society spay and neuter option. It might seem difficult to get a spot - but we know owners that have persisted have gotten their CATS in - https://ottawahumane.ca/services/mobile-spayneuter-services/
*please note their mobile unit is not running, but they offer spots at the facility
