King & Pepper are out of quarantine and started their slow intro to the rest of the house, learning to house cat. So far they enjoy under the bed, totally normal. Hopefully they start to feel more comfortable as the days go 😍 it really shows you how tiny Pepper is because King is around 6 months now give or take and he’s bigger lol

“I will 🔪 you in your sleep” - Pepper… maybe lol jk. This beautiful girl is so fricken sweet deep down. Ignore the resting B face. She lets me pick her up, has never swatted or bit. She’s still pretty shut down but I cannot wait to see her blossom. She has her spay next week and maybe we can find her an adopter who is patient and willing to give her time to feel safe again (if that’s you reach out!). She’s a tiny little 1 year old and so precious with a gentle soul.

Happy Tales Chili & Habs! These two shy but very sweet kittens were adopted together ❤️ we thought they’d take a bit to settle in but their adopter found some kitty warmers in her bed this morning. Amazing job to their fosters Kelly & Jim for their hard work on this spicy crew!

We are hosting a pop-up food bank at Albion-Heatherington Community Centre, 1560 Heatherington Rd, on December 7 from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.

Those needing extra support are welcome to stop by and pick up dog or cat food. Please bring your own bag.

Happy Tales Minnie! We posted Miso’s adoption profile today in a local group hoping to find her a home for the holidays ❤️ it turns out she had a home and family all along missing her terribly.
So instead of “a home” she returned to HER home for the holidays and forever!

Her family saw our post and sent us photos, identifying information etc and we were able to confirm Miso was their girl Minnie. She was a valued member of their family & farm. Some of the photos (like Minnie riding horses with them) were so sweet. We hope that her transition back home is quick and she settles back into her family like she never left ❤️

Who remembers Mr. Dill? He was part of the group of chi’s surrendered and adopted earlier this year. We delayed his neuter as he had some baby teeth still kicking that we wanted to make sure came out (if not we would have done dental/neuter at the same time). He had his big boy surgery today with and did wonderful 🥹 he is still tiny as ever though lol

This picture kinda made me a little sad tonight that Google recognized this is the time of night I get to reviewing rescue documents. It was a good reminder of how much rescues do (after working a day job, being a parent or family member). I’m not tooting my own horn here but it made me think of all the rescuers/volunteers out there doing the same thing, trying to do it all. It’s hard and tiring. Sending you all my love.

Ps it made me even sadder that we haven’t gotten an adoption application in a while. I know being rural doesn’t help, having shyer cats doesn’t help but I hope we can get a few of these kitties into homes soon ❤️ they deserve it. That’s my little mini vent for tonight. The good news is I actually managed to keep my phone mostly charged today lol that’s a win.

Beautiful Wasabi ❤️ will you take a chance on a shyer kitten? This beautiful grey and white boy is sensitive and sweet. He likes to be close to his friends but a safe distance from his humans (for now). I really think he will truly blossom with time. Do you have a cat needing a friend?
