Sometimes we need a reminder to slow down and enjoy the simple things!

One day, the chores won't take quite so long.

One day, little feet won't force me to walk slower, there won't be questions to answer about chicken treats or tiny hands begging to be the one to scoop feed, (and mostly spilling it on the barn floors) or pick a dandelion just for you.

One day I'll be able to bundle up, and be done in time to drink a hot cup of coffee to myself on the porch.

Today's not that day. Thank goodness.

Let them slow you down. They're supposed to.
