We work hard to make sure our horses are broke not only to riding but also in ways that allow us to implement safety measures if necessary. The expected forecast for Dahlonega was much worse than the weather we had this morning. Our barn is surrounded by trees and our pastures are steep. I made the call to set them up in the garage to ride out the hurricane and was thrilled with their behavior! We have a herd full of model citizen here and treat them all as family! We are thankful the storm spared our trees, barns, and fences.

Soon available for your consideration. Timber is a 15yo mare with a strong background in reining but has also been shown in ranch trail, rail, and horsemanship. She works the flag well. She has been shown successfully by a novice youth as well as an adult in open and amature. Timber has beautiful transitions, is soft in the bridle, and has flying changes. She has been a trail horse for most of the past year so she will be in my program for the next month being legged up and shown. Please reach out for more information.

It was a long day at the last show but we brought home the trophies! Today was the last show for the intro to ranch horse versatility series.

Emelyn and Ted came home with youth division high point for the day and for the buckle series!

Casen and Trigger only made it to 2 of the 3 shows and still took the buckaroo division reserve high point place! He was awarded a nice blanket to show off next season!

Charlie Bell did an amazing job for her first show season and made Ted do his job the best! She also only made it to 2 of the 3 shows and placed 3rd in the buckaroo division. Ted will look fancy in his halter!

I’m am always proud of my students and their hard work! I love that they call me coach!

Opie and I went into this season with hopes to make it through the year with quiet shows and a positive experience but we came home with a buckle as well. Opie pulled off an amazing ranchmanship pattern run to break a division tie for high point and definitely earned his buckle! I could ask for a better partner!

We couldn’t make this happen without the help of our amazing parent team. They put in as many hours as the riders and always ready to step in if I need anything! Thank you so much for trusting me with your kiddos!

Swift Horsemanship kids worked hard through the heat to prepare for this weekends show and did so well!

Emelyn and Ted came home as reserve high point champs. They had a beautiful ranchmanship and trail pattern.

Casen and Trigger came home as reserve buckaroo reserve highpoint champs. They worked together beautifully for Casen’s first show.

Charlie-Belle and Ted were a great team and brought home a few well deserved ribbons for their second show together.

I am very proud of all of my riders. They are always willing to put in the work to be successful! ❤️

Emelyn took Ted to the intro to ranch series yesterday in ringgold. She showed up and showed out for sure! They won their ranchmanship class and rocked a great flying change in their pattern! They came home reserve champs for the weekend!

We’re practicing groundwork exercises here at Swift Horsemanship on our last warm day this week. The work put into a young horse really shows up when you start under saddle. I don’t think this team will have any issues getting started under saddle in the fall!
