Fox Run Farm in Dahlonega

Sam and Grande turned in a double clean round in the 1.10 m class at Equus Events' Winter Classic at Wills Park in Alpharetta, GA. The competition was great, 4.5 seconds separated the top six riders in the jump off. The weather was cold but we enjoyed the warmth of the staff and the hot apple cider they provided. It was delicious 😋

Sam had a wonderful weekend in Conyers for the second weekend at the Atlanta Fall Classic. Sam and Grande took third in the 1.10 meter class in the Grand Prix field on Saturday and just missed getting pinned in the 1.15 meter Classic on Sunday. The show was very well run, the competitors were great and friendly.

Sam and her new horse, Grande were bravely competing in Conyers this weekend their first AA show. They competed in the big Barry Lane Welcome Class on Friday and the 10K classic on Saturday. Both classes were set at 1.10. They finished in the middle of the pack, but it was an outstanding effort for the two of them, especially considering Grande hadn't been in GA for even two weeks. Most riders would have been happy just to get around in a training class, but they took on the best the area had to offer. We look forward to seeing them progress over the next few months as they get to know each other.

The temperature has finally cooled, a few of the trees are turning yellow and the horses are full of energy. Sam and one of our favorite horses were schooling this weekend. Fall is a great time to ride for riders of all abilities. Sam and Dick are available during the week to help you hone your abilities.
