📘 Dear Diary — Week 2

Dear Diary,

Another week has gone by. I watched the volunteers walk past my kennel today, smiling and giving me pets, and for a moment I imagined what it would feel like if they said, “Mable, pack your bags… you’re going home.”

I try so hard to stay positive. I wag my tail for everyone who walks in, hoping today is the day someone finally sees how special I am. I’m patient, and I’m trying to be brave, but sometimes I wonder if people forget I’m still here.

Even so, I haven’t given up. I know my person is out there, someone who wants a loyal best friend, someone gentle and steady, someone who just wants to love and be loved. That’s me. 💙

Maybe this will be my week… maybe someone will read my diary and decide they want to write the next chapter with me.

🐶 Help Us Keep Pets Fed This Holiday Season! 🐱

No pet should ever have an empty bowl and with your support, we can make sure families in our community don’t have to struggle to feed their furry companions.

Our Fill the Bowl Pet Food Drive is underway, and we’re accepting donations of dog and cat food, treats, and litter for local pet owners who could use an extra hand right now. Your generosity helps pets stay safe, loved, and right where they belong, at home with their families. ❤️

Our friends at the Lumpkin County Senior Center are also collecting pet food for their Whiskers & Wags program, which ensures seniors receiving Meals on Wheels never have to choose between feeding themselves and feeding their pets. 🐾❤️

✨ The Dog & Pony Show is officially wrapped and it was SO much fun! ✨

What an incredible day! Thank you to every single person who came out, cheered, participated, dressed up, or simply showed support for the animals of Lumpkin County. Events like this only come to life because of you — your smiles, your energy, and your willingness to show up for our shelter pets. 🧡🐶🐴

From the creative costumes to the adorable pups and ponies, today was truly something special. Seeing our community come together with so much heart and excitement reminded us why we love doing what we do.

We couldn’t be more proud of this amazing community. You continue to show up for the animals who need you most, and your support means the world to us.

Thank you for making today a hit, a blast, and a memory we’ll be talking about for a long time. 🧡🐾

To everyone who came out for our first ever Run for the Rescues 5K! YOU made today unforgettable.

We are blown away by the turnout, the energy, and the incredible support from our community. Every runner, walker, volunteer, donor, vendor, cheerleader — you all played a part in making this event a success.

Because of you, we raised funds that will directly help the dogs and cats of Lumpkin County receive the care, comfort, and chances they deserve. 🐶🐱💛

We can’t thank everyone enough. You showed up for them and they felt it.
