Skipping steps and rushing the process can be very detrimental to our horses. It’s not a race to see who can get one trained the fastest.

Train for the horse not for the video.

Be present through the process, realizing where your horse is at so that you can be realistic with your expectations.

This doesn’t mean every day should be simple. Progress is made through challenges. We should be challenging ourselves and our horses past our comfort zone at times. We need to work through the challenge and hold our horses accountable before we move onto something else.

Learn to love the whole process, not just the win!

Be patient.
Be present.
Be persistent.

Hey y'all! It's that time of year with a bunch of local parades on the calendar! Come join us for this one day clinic that will prepare you and your horse for the challenges that come with getting a horse parade-safe! We are so excited to be partnering with Texas Lost Pines Riding Club with use of the great Julius Marek Arena! Hope to see some of y'all there! :)

We love updates from our training horses! 😊 This is Lilia and her owner enjoying a nice long trail ride. We are so glad to hear how well she's doing on her adventures! :)
You may recognize Lilia from a couple posts back in April, getting her 60 day c**t start, and now this 4 year old has been trail riding all around. A good foundation really goes a long way. 😊

'𝗧𝘄𝗮𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗡𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗕𝗲𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗮 𝗤𝘂𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗛𝗼𝗿𝘀𝗲 𝗖𝗵𝗿𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗺𝗮𝘀

'Twas the night before Christmas, in the barn so bright,
Not a creature was stirring, not even a horse – what a sight.
The hay bags were hung by the stalls with great care,
In hopes that Saint Nicholas soon would be there.

The Quarter Horses nestled all snug in their straw,
With visions of sugar cubes, a festive withdraw.
And I in my World Show jacket, and they in their wraps,
Had just settled down for a long winter's naps.

When out on the paddock arose such a clatter,
I sprang from my bed to see what was the matter.
Away to the pasture, I flew like a flash,
And was out of the gate like First Down Dash.

The moon on the breast of the new-fallen snow,
Gave the lustre of midday to objects below.
When, what upon did my wondering eyes fall
But a sleigh pulled by some of the greatest legends of all.

With a little old driver, so lively and quick,
I knew in a moment it must be Saint Nick.
More rapid than eagles, his coursers they came,
And he whistled, and shouted, and called them by name.

"Now, Doc Bar! Now, Driftwood and Poco Lena!
On, Corona Cartel! On, Peppy San Badger! And Goetta!
Onward, Go Man Go! And Dash For Cash, you too!
Let’s show the world what Quarter Horses can do!”
