Thanksgiving celebrations are nearly over and Christmas is springing up everywhere. This year has flown by and we are working hard to make sure next year we appreciate our time and put efforts into the right areas.
Fall checklist
-Planted fall garden and began the early bits of winterizing.
-Brought in delicate plants.
-Had a big fall grooming before the true cold weather sets in.
-Purged many items (mostly clothes and toys) we no longer have any use for.
-Got some discounted or free pumpkins and turkeys for food.
-Stocked up on hot chocolate, doggie snacks, paw balm, lotion, cold medicines, and other basic necessities.
To do still
-Deep fall clean and air out. (Dog beds mattresses rugs you name it).
-Deep scrub of all utilities and faculties.
-Vent cleanouts! (Stay save this winter) These include the dryer vent, the fridge, dishwasher, sink aerators, bathroom vents and any other you find.
-Window seal and weather stripping checks
-Swap out the summer with fall clothes.
-dust off the radiators and check all wires
-clean out fridges and freezers and ensure stocked foods are in good standing. Make sure the seals are solid and no pantry moths or other critters are invading. (Warning they come From the food it's self so anything old should be checked regularly with dry goods)
-Clean up outside. Blow the leaves out of the corners. Pressure wash off the moss. Blow the tufts of hair out of all the nooks and crannies.
- Check your chimney and all related items are stocked.
-CHECK YOUR FIRE EXTINGUISHERS!
-If you can invest in a generator of some kind. If you can't that's ok. Everyone should check they have lights, candles, a bundle of wood in the event of any power outages, terracotta planters if you can't get a generator and extra candles. Lighters, blankets, jackets, and a kettle.
-Winterize the pipes and outdoor faucets.
-Make sure there is plenty of hot chocolate!
