The amount of theft and damaged products we come across DAILY is astonishing. We are really disappointed to see our customers treat our products like this. When this man was approached after breaking the packaging and ripping the side of a $35 leash, he told my wife “it broke when I picked it up”.. We didn’t understand exactly what happened until we watched the camera afterwards.
The man opened the front door, screaming at the top of his lungs. When he got in the store, he threw himself on the floor and did a summersault.. His behavior was so erratic that our groomer had to put her grooming services on hold to calm the dogs down. At this point, we should’ve asked him to leave, however we do our best to be understanding and allow everyone an opportunity to contain themselves while in our store. After calming himself down, we aren’t sure what encouraged him to yank apart the leash, but I guess it’s really satisfying pulling them apart lol! It is still really frustrating to see our products being treated like this and there isn’t a lot we can do unfortunately. We hope that other small businesses in town can be aware and keep an eye out for this man and the blonde woman in the bottom corner accompanying him, damaging product in their store as well.
‼️Guinea Pig Babies are born‼️
1/6/23 at approximately 4pm one of the female Guinea pigs gave birth to 3 healthy babies!
On Monday 1/2/23, 3 Guinea pigs were surrendered to us. There was 1 male, we immediately got him into a home with another male Guinea pig companion. The 2 females were given to us while pregnant! The following day, we scheduled an appointment with the vet for the pregnant piggies. They checked out healthy at the Dallas Animal Clinic with Dr. Fullmer and we kept an eye on the girls. Their birth was expected soon, but we cannot express how greatful we are to have gotten the females into the vet the day before one gave birth!
The other female Guinea Pig is approximately 4 weeks along and we will continue to post her progress and keep an eye on her pregnancy!
We will not have them available for adoption until all babies are born and everyone is at least 8 weeks old. In approximately 2.5 months, we will have 3 Twelve week old piggies available and the rest will be 8 weeks. We need to make sure all piggies go in same gender pairs, or a group of 3 same gender in order to ensure their basic needs are met. It is not ethical to offer single piggies, they thrive in pairs or groups. Because we have a set of 3 and cannot sex them for a few weeks, we cannot guarantee they will be able to stay together! We are waiting for the second female to give birth and see what pairing options are available.
After the next few babies are born from the second female, we will announce the start of an adoption list for those wanting to get 2 or 3 piggies!
We will also need to find a home for both females, they must stay together. We will announce when they have a clear bill of health to be adopted out ♥️
