Whoever said all labs are full of energy and crazy? Mine surround themselves near the vents on hot days to stay cool. Most of the time Jax is on top of it. They just lay around all day being lazy labs. Maybe we should change our name?!

I wanted to share with y'all my friend Bailey has 2 puppies left!! Since we're not breeding for awhile this is the breeder I would refer y'all too!! 👇🏻
Two yellow male field Labradors from genetic health tested parents. Have had vet checks, dewormed and first vaccination. Went through early neurological stimulation and part of puppy culture. Socialized with kids,chickens, cats and goats. Master, senior hunt and canine good citizens titles in pedigree! Come with limited or full registration. Sweet Home Oregon. Born 11/4 and ready to go to their forever homes!

Please, please, please, do not give Rawhide treats to your dogs this Christmas, or anytime.

"We nearly lost our 2 year old pooch due to him having a very large blockage in his stomach. Rawhide is not digestible so can build up in the stomach and also cause damage to the intestine. If we hadn’t taken him to the emergency vets on Sunday where they operated straight away it could have been a very different outcome. Charlie is now on the mend but may have to have another operation as he has damage to his intestine. The picture show just a small amount that they removed from his stomach (there was a lot more not shown in the picture).The vets bill came to 1600 which luckily we could pay and claim back on our insurance but not everyone could afford this and it would be heartbreaking for them if the only choice they had was to put their pet to sleep. All sale of Rawhide should be banned!!"

In addition, much as you hate to waste Turkey or Chicken bones, and your doggy is drooling, please, do not give cooked bones to dogs either.

Chicken and Turkey bones can splinter like timber, and can cause severe internal damage.

Other cooked bones are also dangerous, and very sharp, and can lodge in the gums.

The rubbish bin is the only place for bones, out of access to your furries.

If you want to treat your pets this Christmas, please only get Pet safe treats from a good Pet shop or your Vet Clinic.

Also remember, keep chocolate well out of reach too, as this is highly toxic.

Keep your pets safe this Christmas, and stress free for everyone.

FOLLOWERS,
Glory is a 1 yr old black lab from our 2021 litter.
Unfortunately, her parents divorced and she needs to be placed in a foster home until February as her mom can't take her to her temporary home. Mom is willing to pay for food, vet etc. If we can find someone around the Albany area Mom would love that best as she could see her and walk her.

She knows basic commands, is kennel trained, housebroken and is ok on a leash.
Can anyone help us out?

💚Rehomed💚
Due to no fault of her own, Bailey aka our lime green collar girl is back up to be rehomed.
We received her back 2 days ago and she has been one if the smartest and easiest pups to train with. She's smart and playful and loves to get cuddles and kisses. Very much still a puppy but is crate trained now and we've had zero accidents in the house.
Bailey is AKC registered but her owner has signed off on her certificate.
Are you interested in adding this sweetheart to your home?

The Ten Commandments of Dog Ownership

This is something everyone should see.

When you get your 8/10 week old puppies, please keep this image in mind. Their bones do not even touch yet. They plod around so cutely with big floppy paws and wobbly movement because their joints are entirely made up of muscle, tendons, ligaments with skin covering. Nothing is fitting tightly together or has a true socket yet.

When you run them excessively or don't restrict their exercise to stop them from overdoing it during this period you don't give them a chance to grow properly. Every big jump or excited bouncing run causes impacts between the bones. In reasonable amounts this is not problematic and is the normal wear and tear that every animal will engage in.

But when you're letting puppy jump up and down off the lounge or bed, take them for long walks/hikes, you are damaging that forming joint. When you let the puppy scramble on tile with no traction you are damaging the joint.

You only get the chance to grow them once. A well built body is something that comes from excellent breeding and a great upbringing-BOTH, not just one.

Once grown you will have the rest of their life to spend playing and engaging in higher impact exercise. So keep it calm while they're still little baby puppies and give the gift that can only be given once.

Here's a message from Van Hawks Labradors. Blue & Koda have had their second and last litter. Blue is my dear friend Becky's girl and is raised as a family dog. All puppies are also raised indoors and socialized well. If you didn't get in on Sunnie and Koda's last litter here's your chance for a Blue & Koda baby!!

What a crazy 24+ hours of stage one labor that led to Blue going in for a c-section. Let's just say they were having way too much fun in there. She's doing fantastic and so are the pups!

While she revocers from anesthesia the pups are in a milk coma & keeping warm on the heating pad. Their cute little cues are just what we've been waiting for! ❤️

And the last puppy has gone home... 👏🏻Lavender to Silver. Silver to Raven. Raven to Miss Willow. She has found a beautiful family to give her all the love she could ever want with tons of PNW Adventures ahead.
So excited for Harper to have Willow to build amazing memories! Just when we thought we were going to be a 5 dog family the perfect family came along. We'll miss you sweet Willow but will love watching all your adventures!!

This had to be the most emotional introduction ever! My dear Terri hadn't even met her baby Reese due to being out of state and moving to Oregon. Seeing Reece for the first time brought so many joyful tears and it made my heart incredibly happy knowing she was going to love this little girl so hard!
Reece is one lucky girl! And we are lucky puppy grandparents knowing all of our babies are all in loving homes like this. We look forward to many pictures of fun adventures! We love you Reecy!
