🎆 Happy 4th of July from Melody! 🎆

Melody is all dressed up in her patriotic gear and still looking for her forever home! While we celebrate, let’s also remember to keep our furry friends safe during the fireworks.

🐾 Firework Safety Tips:
1️⃣ Secure Your Home: Keep gates and doors closed to prevent escapes. Create a quiet, safe space for your pets indoors. 🏠

2️⃣ Noise Control: Play soft music or turn on the TV to help drown out the fireworks. Use enrichment toys like stuffed Kongs, Licky Mats, and Snuffle Mats to keep them occupied. 🎵🎥

3️⃣ Identification: Make sure your pets are wearing collars with up-to-date ID tags and that their microchip information is current. 🏷️

4️⃣ Prevent Flight Risk: Keep pets in a secure environment and avoid opening doors frequently. 🚪

5️⃣ Preparation: Walk your dog earlier in the day before the fireworks start. Have calming treats and toys ready. 🐾

6️⃣ Safety Gear: Consider using anxiety wraps or calming vests for extra comfort. 💖

🌟 A Tale of Rescue Collaboration: Saving Lives Together! 🐾

Efforts beyond boundaries were made to save this precious family before it was too late. When another rescue couldn't take all the puppies, but had a placement for the mom, we joined forces and worked tirelessly with the shelter. Together, we were able to save some of the remaining puppies, rescuing six of them from the brink of euthanasia. These little ones were on the verge of being lost forever, but now they have a chance at a second lease on life.

Tomorrow, these six puppies will arrive from South Texas, where they've been waiting for over a month for this opportunity. They were born under a garage and spent weeks in the shelter, waiting for someone to save them. Now, they're on their way to a brighter future.

But our work is far from over. We need your help! Please consider opening your heart and home to foster one of these adorable puppies. Your love and care can make all the difference in their journey to finding forever homes.

🚨 URGENT DONATION APPEAL FOR SWEET POLLY POCKET 🚨

Dear DogRRR Nation,

We need your urgent help for Sweet Polly Pocket, a precious nine-week-old pug who has been bravely fighting health challenges since her rescue a couple of weeks ago. Polly has been struggling to gain weight and recently had a severe health setback.

After an evaluation, it was discovered that Polly has a liver shunt, and her condition took a turn for the worse this weekend. She’s currently in the ER battling with low albumin and low PCV, and she urgently needs a transfusion of albumin and blood. Additionally, she requires medication to manage her seizures.

The ER bill for Polly’s critical care will be substantial, and we are reaching out to our DogRRR community for support. Your donations can make a lifesaving difference for Polly.
