Meet Lina, This gentle girl is just 2 years old and on the smaller side, weighing under 50 lbs. When meeting new friends, both human and canine, Lina can be a bit shy at first. But give her a few minutes and some gentle encouragement, and she'll warm up to you in no time! She loves to go for walks on leash and is even learning basic commands like sit. Lina often likes to do her own thing, exploring the yard and doing some sniffing, but also enjoys getting affection and cuddles from her human pals.
PLAYGROUP PG1 - SOCIAL - DG DAINTY & GENTLE

Lina came out the yard sticking to the fence and was slow going but allowed greetings but she would normally stick to herself and sniff the yard. She slowly warmed up to things and started to explore the yard more avoiding the other dogs.
On 10/13/24
Dog was open to social and sniff around with the others. Was relaxed being out with the others and mostly just took things slow with the group. Would sniff around with the others and took time away to releax alone
On 10/26/24
Dog had shy energy and took time to get adjusted before approaching others. Opened up to approach others for soc and was open to light play with the others.

Wow! Lina really came out of her shell. The first time I met her she was super timid. This time she was so happy and wiggly from the beginning. She greeted dogs nicely across the fence and wasn’t reactive to barking dogs while walking outside. Loved getting pets and b***y scratches.

Loves to cuddle and nudge for attention. Incredible loving and affectionate! Loved to run and go fast, very social around other dogs, and would love to be petted, though not very timid they definently grew more social and comfortable with time!
DAYCATION NOTES
How did your dog do in the car? Loved it!

How did they interact with strangers? I take some time to warm up to new people
If they saw any cats, how did they react? Lina saw a cat and was very curious, she pulled and really wanted to go toward it If they saw any other dogs, how did they react? She saw dogs from afar and wagged her tail, when they got too close she barked/growled
If they met any children, how did they react? In the shelter she saw a child and let it pet her. While on our daycation she reacted to (bark/growl)
How did I walk on the leash? (Examples: excited/pulling/timid/awesome walker) Good but pulled
How were my manners and do I know any tricks? Went to the bathroom immediately (when outside), Might know sit
Did they show any of the additional behaviors listed below? Warms up (timid at first), Love bug, Wants to cuddle, Wants to sniff, Solicits pets, Solicits belly rubs
The best part of my Daycation was when....... I rolled around in the grass and got belly rubs
Any additional notes you would like to include about the dog? "Lina was easy to leash and take out of her kennel. She wanted to get pets from everyone in the lobby including a child. We went on a walk then went to a brewery. She wagged her tail at people and dogs from afar but when they got within 10 feet of us she barked and growled. We left and went to a park, which she really enjoyed. She loved exploring and rolling in the grass. She also barked and growled when people got too close. We hung out in the car and she enjoyed cuddling. When we got back to the shelter she wanted to get pets from everyone in the lobby again!
Perhaps she was overwhelmed/scared while out of the shelter or was resource guarding me? She was great with me. Super sweet and cuddly! She needs some time in new environments.
