January 15th, 2018 will always be one of my favorite days. Who knew that this day, 7 years ago, would change my trajectory for my life plan. 7 years ago today we picked up our first foster pup with , Stella. She was a foster transfer because the foster was moving. We picked her up that day and ever since then we have never been without a pup. Stella started it all. (And we “foster failed” her within a week or 2!) She started my love for fostering, animals, and advocating for animal welfare. This love and passion that she ignited in me also led me to my career, friendships, and so many connections in this community. 5 months without you Stella, and we for-sure feel it everyday. But your legacy for the Bennett Bunch lasts a lifetime 💖✨

🤧Fun fact: I’m allergic to cats, but apparently it goes away if you foster cats enough. 😹

Meet our newest foster DLT!

Say hello to Doritos Locos Taco, known as “Locos” for short. We sent an email to foster him with literally 30 minutes to spare. He was bit by another animal on both of his back legs and one of the bites was so deep to his bone that his bone was infected. He was covered and fleas and very wormy too. Fortunately all the meds are working as they should and he is on the mend! The BEST news is he likely doesn’t need to lose his leg.

He is a resilient long-haired orange tabby with a heart of gold. Locos loves cuddles, playtime, and showing off his luxuriously floofy tail. He’s living proof that with love and care, incredible transformations happen. 💛 See his adoption profile in the comments ⬇️

Our Scooter Pooter got adopted today 🫶🏻🧡 Day 197 vs Day 1. We were told Scooter might not ever walk again or go potty on his own. He is truly a miracle kitty. We were so lucky to love him and receive his love. He had many fosters of his own including Wallis, Salsa, W***y Wonky, Salsa, and most recently Stella cat. He was the best foster uncle and watched as they each got adopted. And today he met his mom, Sandra. She and him are going to make a great pair, and she’s already in love. He is already comforted (see last pic) in his blanket from our home in his new box!! Happiest tails Scooter, you have been one of the hardest to let go. 🧡🧡 Thank you Dallas Pets Alive!
