The JP series is perfect for planting smaller fruit and vegetable seeds. From small seeds such as carrots, onions, greens etc., there is nothing else out there that will cingulate seed correctly as well as not crush the seeds.
With seed cost through the roof, this illuminates seed damage, over seeding, we’re having to go through and thin later on. Most seeders/planters used what is called a seed plate .J P series uses what is called seed rollers. Same concept as a seed plate.
If you get on the website and go to Jang Seeder‘s and click on the JP – 1 then scroll to the bottom of the page you will find a downloadable brochure. In that brochure it gives suggestions of seed rollers for different seeds. Johnny’s seeds as a fantastic map for this as well that they have done extensive research on. I will be more than happy to further explain how the different seed rollers work if you would like. While the JP series handles smaller seeds perfectly, it does not do great with larger seeds such as beans, pumpkins, and corn.
