Happy Saturday Be Still Family

What about YOU?

I see it all the time people going out of their way to hurt others. Not just physically, but verbally, online, and spiritually. It’s heartbreaking.

In the dog world, I witness a different kind of pain too. Dogs abandoned. Dogs neglected. Dogs surrendered because life got “too busy.” Every one of them carries a story and most of those stories begin with hope but end in brokenness.

I’ve been blessed to live in a secluded place, and my circle is small on purpose. I’m not the easiest person to deal with, and the dogs I work with aren’t either. Some of them could seriously injure someone in seconds. But that’s the reality I step into because I’ve been called to it.

Over the years, people have trained with me, learned from me, and gone on to build their own paths. I’m grateful for that. But I stay rooted in the gift God placed in my hands to help people heal, to make them better, to show them who they really are through the dog. I’m passionate about this gift , and I’m passionate about the ones I’m shaping. One thing I understand is dogs and who I am , and I’m still learning every single day. I am a vessel in the works

In 2025 alone, I had five clients whose dogs brutally hurt them physically and mentally. That kind of trauma leaves a scar. You need respect, humility, and understanding to walk into that space.

I can’t help every dog, but I will always give my best. When you deal with reactivity and aggression, there are no guarantees. It’s not about “fixing” it’s about learning to control, maintain, and lead. That’s where people either fail… or rise.

That’s why I give my pain to Jesus. Others may choose to hurt and destroy, but I choose to build, restore, and protect one day at a time. I will fall but I refuse to stay down.

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding.” Proverbs 3:5

Motivation for Today
God doesn’t need noise to move. He doesn’t need chaos to prove His power. He simply asks you to be still not passive, but surrendered. In the stillness, He speaks. In the quiet, He restores. And in your obedience, He reveals the next step.

You’re not forgotten. You’re being fortified. Let discomfort be your confirmation that growth is happening. You’re walking in purpose, even when the path feels narrow.

Bam Bam from Paulding County Animal Control spent the day with me as we continue building his training foundation. In this video, we’re working on his name, eye contact, recall, “leave it,” and most importantly relaxation.
