BRRR... IT'S ABOUT TO GET FREEZING! 🥶
As the temperature drops, our pets feel the chill just like we do.
Let’s keep them safe and comfortable—like Benji in his cozy sweater!

Keep Outdoor Time Short: Limit potty breaks and walks to a few minutes. If it's too cold for you, it's too cold for them!

Dress for the Weather: Small, thin-coated, or older pets may need a sweater or jacket to stay warm.

Watch Those Paws: Ice, snow, and salt can damage their paws. Consider booties or paw balm, and always wipe their paws after walks.

Provide Warmth: Keep pets indoors as much as possible. Outdoor animals need insulated shelters and access to fresh, unfrozen water.

Be Alert for Warning Signs. Shivering, pale skin, or lethargy could indicate frostbite or hypothermia. Contact your vet if you see these signs.

Check Before You Drive: Cats love hiding near warm car engines. Bang on the hood or honk before starting your car.

Indoor Only: Keep pets warm and cozy inside. If they’re outdoors, ensure their shelter is insulated, dry, and has access to unfrozen water.

Benji’s mom has winter safety locked down—follow her lead to keep your pets warm, safe, and snuggly all season long!

🐾 Dog Facts 🐾
The 'corn chip' smell on your dog's paws, known as 'Frito Feet,' is caused by natural bacteria (Proteus and Pseudomonas) living on their paws.
It is totally normal and usually harmless, but stay alerts for the following warning signs of potential problems:
Redness, swelling, or irritation
Cracked or dry paw pads
Excessive licking, chewing, or paw biting
Limping or tenderness when walking
Strong, unusual, or foul odor
If you notice any of these signs, it could indicate an infection, allergy, or other paw problems, it might be time for a vet visit!
