We are excited to announce that founding partner, Dr. Jennifer Lavender, will now be available throughout the Metro Paws Animal Hospital networks.
Beginning in January 2024, she can be found regularly on Mondays at the White Rock location and other scattered days at the other Metro Paws Animal Hospital locations. The best way to schedule an appointment with her is by calling our White Rock location at 214-324-1500 to check her availability. Orthopedic surgical procedures and follow-ups will now be performed at the White Rock location.

In the season of gratitude and reflection, I want to thank you for trusting me with your pets for the last 22 years (17+ at Metro Paws Animal Hospital)!
2023 was a personally challenging year for me with my own crazy health ride and I appreciate all the love and patience you have shown me and Metro Paws Animal Hospital. I am pleased to report I am doing much better and will be continuing to support all the doctors and staff at our family of clinics.
For now, I will be seeing patients several days a month at the White Rock location. Call the front desk to find if I am in clinic the next day if you need me: 214-324-1500
Please know our fantastic team of veterinarians can reach me anytime, and we talk daily about difficult cases which have involved me over the years. The White Rock location remains open under the leadership of Dr. Rebecca Donaldson Monday through Saturday. Oak Cliff and Skillman are here for you seven days a week.
I am so thankful the team was able to step forward when I had to slow down this past year.
Excitingly, Dr. Jennifer Lavender, my classmate and Metro Paws co-founder, is going to be doing her amazing advanced surgeries to help animals out of the White Rock office as well.

*Boarding Requirements: To keep the paw-ty going smoothly, please make sure your pets are up to date on vaccinations: Rabies, DHLPP, Bordetella (Bord), and influenza.
Phil & Lil were puuurfect for their first round of vaccines! We can't wait to see how big they are in a few weeks ❤️😻🐾
There are some reports of a canine respiratory infection spreading in some parts of the country in dogs. We are aware and we are actively monitoring. We have not yet seen a case in our patients at our hospital.
At this time, our recommendation is to please keep your dog up to date on the Bordetella vaccination (kennel cough) and the influenza vaccination if they are social, attending boarding or grooming. 🐾
The Thanksgiving holiday is an opportunity to spend time with the ones we love and appreciate all that we have including our four-legged family members! ❤️
Just remember that not all human foods are safe for dogs so make sure their Thanksgiving treat is both delicious and dog-friendly! 🐾🦃
