***Price Increase Starting June 1st, 2024 ***
Last summer, we raised our pricing closer to industry norms for all new clients only. We find it is time now to make adjustments and bring all pricing to the same level. We gladly extended loyalty prices as long as we could and are happy to honor your current price level for this final time. In order to catch up with rising costs all around us, since our last price raise 5 years ago, this tough decision leaves us no choice. Our long-term, professional staff is in desperate need of a wage increase, inflation has moved up without us and our rent jumped 20% upon contract renewal! We will always provide our very personalized, safety-first, quality care service to our precious guest pups. We so appreciate your loyalty and support, and we thank you for understanding.

Happy Tails has made the very difficult decision to eliminate our Grooming Department, as we have not been able to find grooming help acceptable to our standards of safety. It was a very tough decision to warrant shutting down that much of our services but well warranted in need. We will still offer very safe and excellent Exit Baths following Daycare or Boarding services as needed.
We are referring our beloved Dog Families in need of haircutting grooms to a couple of groomers that we have found to be very trustworthy to our standards in Dog-First safety skills. White Rock Pet Grooming 214-400-8405, a local 15 year old company that practices only ethical grooming methods, placing the importance on safety and quality. Also, Evelyn Mora 469-401-4534, whose specialty seems to be with our oldies! She will groom at your home or through East Dallas Vet Hospital. Sorry for this unexpected change but we feel it is the best decision in the interest of our pups. We are getting back to concentrating on our specialty in Daycare and Boarding. Thank you for understanding! 🐶

***UPDATE***
We are currently CLOSED UNTIL (opening regular hours) Wednesday, Dec 14.

The recent dog illness epidemic has been definitively diagnosed through extensive testing by multiple vets as Canine Influenza. Please educate yourself (via your Vet, Google, wherever…it was even on the Weather Channel!) since it has finally made its grand entry into Texas on such a grandiose scale this time!

Happy Tails WILL REQUIRE Canine Influenza vaccines effective immediately. Please get started right away. We encourage you to also educate yourself about canine vaccines and the BEST recommendations regarding disease resistance time after a vaccine, and about boarding or socializing with other dogs. Please DO NOT bring your dog around other dogs if they exhibit ANY signs of any illness (cough, etc). Keep current on all vaccinations, especially during the Fall and Spring. Vaccines are held to our calendar but have their own lives! Example: Bordetella vaccines have an effective life of about 8 months. Please visit with your vet today! Know what questions to ask!

All DAYCARE and BOARDING dogs who exhibit any signs of illness will be taken to our vet or yours (if possible) for treatment and isolation/hospitalization. We will call you first. We do not have the set-up or staff to isolate and care for sick dogs. Happy Tails will NOT incur any costs or responsibility for any illness from disease.

We HIGHLY DISCOURAGE bringing senior dogs or health-compromised dogs during busy times or times of illness (check with your vet). An in-home petsitter is the best care and least stressful setting for the older guys.

Happy Tails is currently CLOSED until at least Wednesday, Dec. 14th due to the epidemic proportions of a highly contagious respiratory sickness flying through dogs all over the metroplex and more! Most dogs recover fine from it, but it has been known to be fatal to old or health-compromised dogs.

We hope to be clear and free again in time for Christmas. We are still taking reservations for current clients for Christmas. We are not able to take new dogs at this time.

Sorry for any inconvenience but the risk of catching this illness (which is almost a guarantee) is not worth the risk. Please check back here or call our Info/Messages line at 214-221-3999 for updates as we receive them.

We have been experiencing multiple cases of a very contagious canine cold/flu that is some type of an UPPER RESPIRATORY issue with coughing.

We are doing our best to control it, but it is going through many dogs. Please refer to our poster for more details.
