🥃Bourbon🥃

This 7 year old Friesian Sport Horse gelding that stands 16.2hh is just the epitome of a gentle giant. Bourbon is the prime age for starting his new adventure with you and with a lovely foundation in many disciplines he is ready to be your new best friend and dance partner. Bourbon is sweet, quiet and honestly one of the most obedient and kindest horses I’ve ever met. He will ride English or western all day down the trail or around in circles in the arena. He also is an absolute gem under harness and looks so fancy pulling a cart going down the road or in a show arena. Bourbon has a striking appearance that catches every eye that walks in my barn his size is magnificent and his personality just draws you in. Under saddle he is as gentle as he is on the ground and rides like an old soul. He is soft and respectful in just a snaffle bit and will move off leg pressure and collect in contact. Bourbon has up and down transitions through all three of his animated gaits and an excellent stop complimented by a fluid and steady paced back up. He is soft flexing to both sides and is started on leg yields both ways. He has a slower more collected trot you can sit and a nice big reach in the extended which is easy to post to. His canter is big and has so much fun suspension and really rocks you back into the bucket- he takes both leads and has a nice canter to trot transition. When out on trail he will take the lead or follow behind and is confident going through water, over logs and through brush. He will trail blaze when needed and negotiate steep grades up and down. In harness he’s simple hitch and smooth and easy to drive! Bourbon will take you down the hard road along side of traffic or through the field and all around the arena. Bourbon is sound in every way and has no known previous injuries or medical issues, he has no limitations and no vices. We can happily assist in arranging transportation and vet checks are welcomed at the prospective buyers expense.

This 5 year old c**t has been with me a little bit now and I’ve enjoyed him a lot his owner is looking to sell and I said I’d be happy to put up his info and forward any serious inquiries their way. Marty stands a stout 15.1hh with heavy bone and great feet. He rides around like I like one to - soft and collected, laterally and on the vertical and moves all his body parts, he will side pass and leg field as well as spin on haunches both ways and has an excellent sit down stop and fluid back up. Marty can jog and lope circles all day in the arena or will go out on trail even push and track some cows pasture to pasture. Marty is over all a quiet minded boy and most importantly an honest horse. He would make a nice horse for a youth rider too! While Marty is bred and patterned for barrels he also has all the buttons needed to go show the ranch riding or sort cows!
Marty is the all around package 🥰 easy to work with, bathes quietly, ties single or on cross ties, uncomplicated to live with and easy to load/haul.

I DON’T DANCE

If you’re looking for your next 3 ring horse, look no further!

This beautiful 9 year old TB gelding stands 16hh and is completely bump and blemish free! SOUND, safe and oh so fancy! Due to no fault of his own he sat the last seven years off the track (unraced/no starts) as pasture ornament with no wear or tear! Previous owner had major life changes and had to sell so now he started his new career which you can clearly see he LOVES! He wants to please all day long and is very willing and sensible. I think this kind and quiet boy could easily excel in several directions but truly has the eye appeal, movement and style of a hunter. I think he would flow nicely with dressage, lower level eventing, fox hunting and such as well. If you are looking for a stellar prospect truly this is the one to not skip over. If you’re an adult amateur or eager youth rider looking for a SAFE but talented horse to develop into the diamond of your dreams please watch his videos. This boy has the heart and mind of a champion. Lightly shown and was outstanding in the show ring. Was placing in the the top 2 of most of his classes from over fences to the flat. He has jumped a variety of jumps from coops, planks, flower boxes, and brick walls. He has also been lightly started over 2’6” fences with room to spare. He’s so easy to live with. Period. Turns out great, lives in great, no vices, easy to catch, easy to load and haul, easy to bathe and groom, easy for the farrier and vet to work on, great ground manners, waits at the mounting block and rides off low headed on the buckle every time. He has been offering lead changes both ways and is so soft and floaty in the bridle. He is current on all his vaccines, coggins, dental and farrier work- he’s barefoot and sound. No maintenance, no supplements and no limitations of any kind- he simply was too slow to invest anymore money into at the track. Video will be lengthy showing on the flat and over fences at home as well as on the flat and over fences at his first show.

“Lance” as we affectionately call him is the real deal, he rides english or western, down the trail or around the arena, and he drives! Lance is a strikingly handsome boy and is well built and has a good strong bone structure and hoof to him. Lance is super smart and fun to work with as well as very trustworthy. He has no funny business whatsoever under saddle making him a great for many different levels of rider! If you’re looking for a trail horse to go confidentially anywhere all day on he’s your guy. If you’re looking for an eventing prospect, jumper or eq horse look no further. Dressage? Driving? You name it he can do it!!!! Lance has a fun and friendly personality and good work ethic. Clint stands a stout and well made 14.2hh and is just as sweet as he is adorable! We love everything about this c**t. Clint is quiet and personable and is so comfortable and fun to ride to boot. If your looking for a FANCY prospect for either in the arena or down the trail Clint can wear all the hats, he has gorgeous movement and a beautiful natural self carriage- he’s soft collected and truly travels with balanced rhythm and round over the back movement. I’ve watched this c**t perform effortless flying lead changes on his own and am amazed at how well put together he feels under saddle for me. Clint is soft in contact and has nice lateral flexion both ways. He has three lovely gaits and has the ability to both extended and collected each with smooth transitions. He’s lightly started on his leg yielding, side passing and turns on the haunches. Clint will do simple lead changes and really can put together a nice circle at any gait. Clint has a fantastic stop and a soft and fluid back up as well. He is very quiet and sensible for a youngster and has never once felt like I was riding a “baby” at all. Clint is absolutely wonderful out side of the arena, he’s quiet and enjoys trail blazing and just wandering along on or off the beaten path. He is good around other horses, farm animals, equipment and traffic. Rides exceptionally under English and western tack and has been often played on ba****ck by my barn kiddos. Clint is undoubtedly a barn favorite around here and we will be so sad to see him go. He ties, grooms, bathes as well as easy to load and haul all over.

Lightly started over fences and was naturally very talented and has nice scope. One of the most obedient horses I’ve ever ridden, quiet and attractive. Okie 🍁 8 year old registered AQHA stunning dapple grey gelding standing 14.2hh and WIDE- handy broke with a big stop, cute lope and jog and has the ability to extend both and look fancy doing it, he is soft in contact, leg yields, side pass, turns on haunches and is smooth and fun to ride! Lance is easy to catch, good to handle on the ground, he ties and knows basics of lounging and is good to mount from the ground or a mounting block- he is an uncomplicated ride and is very comfortable both the Morgan and Friesian compliment each other in his movement and self carriage. Rio
Rio is the whole package big, color and handy! QUIET QUIET QUIET. He stands 15.2 hands tall and is heavy made with great color. This one can be roped off, shot off, dally and drag as well as go all day down the trail or around the ranch or tote a beginner around the arena. Rio is quiet and simple to get along with and he can live in a box stall or turned out in a mixed herd. He stands patiently on ties for grooming, saddling and for the vet/farrier. He goes around the arena English or western and ALL day long on trails. Rio is soft in his chin and flexes laterally and on the vertical in a snaffle or will gladly pack a finished bit. He will cross over dead fall, water and whatever else you approach out on trail or in rough country. He handles steep inclines and grades up and down with ease and sure footed as you expect any good trail mount to. He is safe around dogs and other farm animals as well as in traffic around farm equipment. Rio knows how to neck rein, leg yield, turn on forehand and haunches and takes his leads. I could see him being used successfully in a lesson or therapy program both English or western. He will trot poles and take a cross rail as well as jump logs or trees on trail. Rio prefers the slow gears and likes to meander down the trail or arena wall but will move out when asked, his up and down transitions are smooth and he will stop and stand patiently as long as you need. We have ridden Rio ba****ck in a halter to catch a loose horse or mule as well as used him to push cows from one pasture to the next. If you need to swing a rope off him and doctor a calf he is ready to work all day long. He is safe to shoot a pistol from and with a little fine tuning would make a nice mounted shooting horse. Rio is sound and has no vices or limitations. He loads in to any style trailer and off loads in new places quietly. As always we welcome vet checks at the prospective buyers expense. Who is looking to improve their patterns and times in speed events? Can be gaming, cow work, mounted shooting etc
This clinic will focus on sharpening our horses fine tuning to create more efficient straight lines, turns and speed control that will over improve runs and help get that clock stopped faster!

This mare is 11 years old stands 14.2-14.3hh super safe and such a nice neck rein! She’s a great mover and really comfortable. Takes her leads, leg yields and has some pep but is not at all hot! Thank you to all who participated in todays clinic at SSR it was such a nice day to get out interact and learn from each other. This group was diverse in many ways and with that I believe we were all able to learn SO much more then a one on one lesson. It’s been a few years since I’ve put one of these together but it felt great to be back in my element! Hope everyone learned as much as I did and enjoyed themselves- great group of people and wonderful horses!
