Foster Rufus loves his cantaloupe 🍈
Lolo says TGIF! Lolo’s heading in on Monday for a recheck. He has been doing amazing in his foster home and has been gaining some weight! If all goes well at the vet, he should be up for adoption soon!
This week has been difficult for the rescue. Three days after hearing the news of alumi Scarlett’s passing, foster Banksy was rushed to the vet after collapsing in respiratory distress. After every life saving measure was taken, Banksy passed away. We and the vet are not confident in his cause of death as he had been well and at his normal prior to this event. Banksy had been growing stronger since he first came into rescue with a lack of deep pain perception to hind legs. He was up and ambulating. After what it seems to be an endless amount of tears, we are trying to reminisce on the memories he and his foster parents shared. There will never be enough time, but we loved Banksy with everyday that we had the privilege to care for him. Rest easy sweet boy. 🤍 11/06/2020-06/08/2024 🤍
Turbo is healing exceptionally well after his double enucleation! He had so many donations towards his care and is maneuvering around his foster parent’s home well with his new halo! Turbo is still finishing up his antibiotics for his skin infection and will be starting his heartworm treatment shortly after. Thank you endlessly for supporting and donating to this handsome boy! 🧡
Tank update: Tank was found with his back legs paralyzed on a soiled blanket on March 11, 2024 in the back of an alley. We believed he was forever going to be our wheelchair baby but he’s proved us so wrong. Today, Tank is mobile and is taking everyday one step at a time. We are so proud of his drive to continue moving forward. Go Tank Go!
Vice President, Jacob is a local dog trainer so we got to see alumni Louis show off during his one week board and train! 🐾
🏠🐾 Here’s a day in the life of a foster parent. DFW French Bulldog Rescue does not have a facility and all fosters are in volunteer-based foster homes. Being in a foster home, foster pups are able to get the individualized care whether medical, behavioral, or just one-on-one attention they need prior to finding their forever home. Fosters are important and the backbone of our organization, without our volunteer-based fosters, we would not be able to help French Bulldogs in need. All medical treatment and food is covered by DFW French Bulldog Rescue so fosters can focus on learning about the dog’s personality and needs to better assist in matching them into their perfect home. 🏠🐾
All fosters must be in or around the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex

🚨 Foster Jameson stole someone’s keys at the dog park today and he’s not sorry about it! 🚨
Meet Tony! He has had a rough life. He was dropped off at a local shelter and said to have been a stray. The shelter said he was never reclaimed by his owners and that he had been passed around to five different people within the last six months. The shelter believes he had been living in a kennel most of the time. Tony walks a bit wonky and when we picked him up, it was noted that he had been having these back issues for a while due to his muscle atrophy. Tony is also currently being treated for Ehrlichiosis, a disease that is caused by being bitten by an infected tick. So we’re not sure how he’s previously lived or what he’s been through, but we’re thankful we were given the opportunity to help. We do know that he is kennel reactive and would rather be with his people. He is cautious and reactive to men. Tony tries so hard to be a happy boy but this fear takes over and he tries to defend himself from potential harm. Tony has been loving his foster mom, has been doing fine with his foster friends who don’t push him around, loves treats, and can really be speedy when he wants to. Tony has a long road to recovery from his previous trauma but we are so excited for you to meet him!
Donnie has patiently been waiting to find his forever home. This sweet boy is hard of hearing and his foster parents say that his ears do perk up when he’s been whistled to come inside. This lack of hearing may have created a disconnection to the outside world. Donnie wants to play and be a normal pup but struggles sometimes with sharing with his foster friends. Without water bowls, kennels, and food in the picture, you’ll see Donnie starting the race and playtime. On some occasions, Donnie will share toys. But truthfully, Donnie would thrive in a single dog home where he will receive all the one-on-one attention he deserves and can be dedicated to his master. Not being able to hear your emotions or intent can be worrisome for Donnie, as he only wants to please and will often look to you for guidance. This boy will not do well with younger children or those who don’t approach him in a polite and friendly manner. Apply today if you’ll be the lucky one Donnie can forever love and trust for guidance! https://form.jotform.com/240147081987159
DFW French Bulldog Rescue welcomes Leo! Leo is from California and he was surrendered to rescue due to the financial burden of fixing his rectal prolapse. After acting quickly and getting the issue tended to, he has been recovering perfectly and hasn’t shown a concern for another prolapse. This quirky boy loves nothing more than to be around his people and stare in admiration while receiving affection. He has a great temperament and gets along well with his foster friends. If you’re looking for a low to medium energy level love bug then Leo may just be the one for you!
Dear Lucky - I’m sorry. I’m sorry I had so much hope that we’d be able to have your heart procedure tomorrow. I’m sorry that you’re too sick to have the procedure right now. I’m sorry that your echo said you have a leaky tricuspid valve. I’m sorry that your pulmonary valve is stenosed. I’m sorry that your foramen ovale never closed. I’m sorry that we have to continue your beta blocker and just hope your pulmonary valve grows as you do. I’m sorry I can’t give you a prognosis. I’m sorry you’ll still be tired. I’m sorry that you’re not able to be the active puppy you were supposed to be. We’ll go back for another follow up in three months to see if you’re stronger. I hope you know, I’ll do everything in my power to ensure you know you’re loved and cared for. Sweet Lucky, I’m forever here - you’ll never be alone. With all my love, Tiffany, your foster momma

Sweet Lotto, our IVDD pup, has stolen our hearts! The amount of progress he has made in less than two months has been astonishing, from being too weak in his hind legs to stand to now being able to run and play! Way to go Lotto!!
Bobo is a grumpy senior with a history of IVDD and kidney stones but oddly enough is very ball driven and loves snuggling with his foster parents. Bobo is still training with our vice president and learning that other dogs can be friendly and can play gently to accommodate his old bones. Happy Monday from Bobo!
