Meet Tinkerbell (A1213047) — a 1-year-old pup ready to discover the world at her own pace. ✨🐶
She may be a little shy at first, but once she gets to know you, her sweet personality begins to shine.

From our volunteer observations, Tinkerbell enjoys a calm, gentle environment and seemed to appreciate soft, respectful interactions with other dogs during playgroup. She walks well on leash and prefers to take her time in new situations, making her a wonderful companion for peaceful strolls and quiet adventures. 💛

If your idea of adventure includes patience, trust, and watching confidence bloom, Tinkerbell may be the perfect match for you. 🌿🐕

Meet P*e Tee (A1271605) — a 1-year-old gentleman ready to make your Saturday (and every day) a little brighter! 🐶💙

From our volunteer observations, P*e Tee has a calm, social style when meeting new friends. He appears friendly with other dogs, greeting them politely and easing into gentle play once he feels comfortable. On leash, P*e Tee walks nicely and shows off his sweet personality with a wagging tail and happy grin whenever he gets attention. ✨🐕

🎆🐾 New Year, New Foster, New Life 🐾🎆

Meet Cameron, one of our newest DAS fosters! 💙

Cameron and her partner joined us during Calming the Canines, started a conversation about fostering, and by the very next day went home, cleared out their spare room, and officially turned it into a foster space. 🏡✨

Their goal for 2026? To help as many dogs as possible (especially our at-risk and long-stay pups) find their way home.

Their very first foster of the year, Daisy ( ), went home with them today to kick off their fostering journey 🌼🐶 And she is still available for adoption!

An 8-month-old sweetheart who blossoms once he feels comfortable. Robin is laid back, social with other dogs, and has a gentle play style. He enjoys pets and handling and would thrive with a little patience as he settles in.

@✨ Foster Friday Spotlight ✨
❤️ Meet Lottie (A1267094)! ❤️

Lottie is a 2-year-old mixed breed who has been thriving in foster care for the past 3 weeks, and her growth has been amazing to see. She’s learning basic commands like sit and recall, is highly treat-motivated, and absolutely loves working for snacks. 🍪🐾

She’s fully house trained and walks beautifully on leash, making her a joy to take out and about. While Lottie can be a bit nervous when first meeting other dogs, she warms up with time and becomes a loyal, best-friends-for-life kind of girl. She respects boundaries, plays well, and especially enjoys tug-of-war and chew toys. Though she’s generally very chill, she’s always happy to jump into a fun play session when the mood strikes.

Lottie is still building confidence and working through some separation anxiety, but routine and predictability help her feel safe and settled—and she continues to make great progress. She’s calm, content, and well-mannered on patios and in quieter public spaces, making her an excellent adventure companion.

She loves hiking and exploring low-traffic areas where she can take in all the smells without the stress of crowds or cars. Above all, Lottie is sweet, gentle, loyal, and deeply devoted to her people. With the right home, she will truly shine. 🐶✨

🎆🐾 Calming the Canines Update🐾🎆

What an unforgettable way to ring in the New Year! Thanks to our incredible community, staff, and volunteers, our New Year’s Eve Calming the Canines event was a huge success—and truly an all-hands-on-deck moment.

✨ Here’s what we accomplished together:
💙 Fundraising: We set a goal of $1,000 and blew it away, raising $2,096 for our shelter pets!
🏡 Happy outcomes:
• Evra (A1272278) – adopted
• Mai Lee (A1270888) – adopted
• Pedro Pascal (A1272460) & Luis Guzman (A1272461) – foster-to-adopt together 🐶🐶
👀 Follow-up interest: Several guests loved the experience so much they returned the next day for meet & greets.
👥 Attendance: Planned for ~200 guests… welcomed 387! It was busy, a little hectic, and absolutely worth it.

💪 Huge shoutout to our staff and volunteers who jumped in wherever needed and even stayed late to clean and prepare the shelter for the next day. Your dedication does not go unnoticed.

💌 Community love: From generous donations to the sweetest handwritten kennel notes, the support from our community has been incredibly heartwarming—and we’re still smiling as we walk through the shelter.

🎉 Special THANK YOU to Friends of Dallas Animal Services for providing bookmarks, NYE hats, glow necklaces and bracelets, and hot cocoa for our guests. Their continued support—made possible by public donations—helps sustain every level of operations at Dallas Animal Services.

Rudolph (A1270560) is a 1-year-old, cream-colored good boy with an easy-going personality and a heart full of love. He’s sweet, friendly, and well-mannered—great on leash and quick to take care of business once outside. 🚶‍♂️🐕

Once he hits the yard, Rudolph’s playful side shines! He gets the zoomies, loves to sniff everything in sight, and may jump up once or twice for treats (hey, he’s enthusiastic 😄). He enjoys affection, happily accepts pets, and is always down for a cuddle when playtime winds down.
