⭐️Vinny had a vet visit to update some vaccines and start on some anxiety meds to help him work through some insecurities built over the past few months. Don’t worry buddy, I’m also medicated for anxiety and reactivity .

We have pulled Vinny from being adoptable at this time to work through it with a behaviorist, but are accepting foster to adopt homes with experienced potential families that can help him work through his behavior concerns. He is dog (needs slow introductions) and cat friendly but would also thrive as an only pet. He is a medium sized guy at 50 pounds and a little over a year old. He had a rough start in life, but we are confident that we can find the right family for Vinny to help set him up for success.

We are getting closer to marking all items off of our wishlist for the holiday season! 🙏🏻🙌🏻

We currently have 7 cats/kittens in our care and our food and litter supply is very quickly dwindling, please help us restock our cat supplies for our rescues.

Lastly, it’s a big ask, I know, but I believe that it can and will happen and that’s where I need your help in sharing this post far and wide. We are looking for a vehicle to help transport our rescues safely to and from vet appointments, adoption events, and fundraising events. We are looking for as large as a van or as small as a hatchback, we are not picky as long as we can safely and reliably move our rescues from point a to b. If you are able to help us cross that item off of our Christmas list, we would be forever grateful.

Reintroducing newly named Drax (previously Mix, named by our shelter partner and just didn’t vibe with it) named by his foster parents!

Drax was rescued with seconds left on his clock from an overcrowded shelter in DFW. He is heartworm positive and will be undergoing treatment and rest over the next few months before he is adoptable. Make sure to follow us to keep up with Drax as we get to know more about him. So far his foster parents say he is a playful perfect pup who loves to wrestle on the couch and play with his foster siblings (human and furry!). We don’t know his past, but we know his future is bright. Welcome to The Xena Project Drax!

Duck is searching for his forever home in the DFW area. He is currently being fostered in Forney, TX.

What his foster has to say:

Duck is the friendliest, goofiest puppy and we adore having him. He gets along great with my dogs and cats (though he likes to occasionally chase…or lumbers after more like) and his potty and crate trained. He walks well on a leash does great going on adventures to public places. He is still a puppy so definitely have to watch him or he will get into things right now and loves to shred cardboard, luckily I’m a shopping addict so he has a lot of Amazon boxes to help break down.

Meet Domino!

Domino is one of the two boys in the Spicy to Nicey litter and he is Velcro cat material. This mischievous boy completes his vetting on Thursday and will be ready to be adopted next week! He is available for adoption foster to adopt if you’re looking for a kitten now and would like to ensure he’s a good fit first. He would do well with another playful kitty companion and doesn’t mind the resident dogs either!

Foster found right PAST his deadline but he is still here and now TAGGED FOR RESCUE! 🙌🏻

Mix is HW positive and will start 30 days of medication before his injections. It is an intensive treatment but necessary to save his life.

Introducing one of our three tortie gals Dot! Dot has a distinctive half face marking and is as sweet as can be! What her foster has to say:

She is the friendliest of the girls and loves to give kisses! If I’m walking around with bare legs I will feel little licks and sure enough it’s always Dot! She is sensitive and cuddly and we just adore her here! She also doesn’t mind the dogs and likes to play with our resident cats!

Hollywood received a few applications and after meticulously reviewing each one, found her forever home! If all goes well with her spay tomorrow, she will be headed to her family this weekend!
