A big thanks to Carol for rescuing her from the streets (I-30) and taking her home for a sleepover last night until the vet opened today! 😊

Her skin and ear are in awful shape so we’ll post an update after we hear back from the vet clinic!

We’re extremely grateful to all of you who have donated towards her care, shared her post and rallied to help show her love and kindness! ❤️

URGENT ‼️ Foster Home and Donations Needed to Save This Sweet Girl!

This poor pup was found dodging cars on I-30 earlier today—a true miracle she wasn’t hit as she crossed the highway twice. Thanks to one of our volunteers and some kind-hearted drivers who stopped to help, she was lured to safety in a nearby neighborhood.

We typically can’t take in dogs without a foster lined up, but leaving her out there wasn’t an option. She’s in rough shape—covered in wounds and bites, missing fur, and suffering from a painful hematoma in her left ear due to infection. She needs urgent medical care and a safe place to heal.

We’re taking her to our vet but we desperately need a foster home to give her the comfort and care she deserves. We don’t know much about her yet but she’s incredibly sweet and gentle even after everything she has been through. If fostering isn’t an option for you, you can still make a difference by donating to help cover her medical costs and medical boarding fees ($50/night).

Here’s how you can help:

This sweet girl deserves a second chance, and together we can make it happen. Please share, donate, or reach out if you can foster. Every bit of support helps us save lives!

fka Fluffy has moved out of medical boarding and into a loving foster home thanks to Alyssa and Eli! 🎉😊

Alyssa has been caring for her while she was at the vet the last few weeks and fell in love! ❤️

Evie’s feeling better and stronger with each passing day and we love seeing her playing with toys and then sleeping so soundly ❤️

We’re extremely grateful to Alyssa & Eli for fostering and to all of you who donated towards her lifesaving medical care!

It’s still chilly out there! Fortunately, knows how to stay warm and cozy (and look cute as can be while doing it). Although Kip says he’d feel even warmer and cozier if he could be snuggling with his very own forever humans…

Kip is an 8-month-old Border Collie/Pointer mix who one of our TSDP volunteers found on the scary streets. Now, he’s enjoying the sweet life in a foster home while he awaits his very own forever home.

While Kip may be shy at first, he warms up quickly, especially when treats are involved. Kip absolutely adores his foster humans, and his wagging tail is enough to make hearts melt - don’t say we didn’t warn you! This cutie loves playing with other dogs, exploring the yard, and messing around with his toys.

We caught going to bed very early! She said she was eager to get some shuteye so she could dream about her future forever home 😴

We like to think there are some humans out there dreaming about adopting a very good girl - like Nala!

Nala is a 2.5-year-old, 43 lb black mouth cur mix who is the definition of a very good girl. While she may be shy at first, once Nala warms up, her playful and affectionate personality absolutely shines. Nala enjoys walks around the neighborhood, a good play session with her toys, and ample snuggle time on the couch.

Nala is house trained, crate trained, dog-friendly, cat-friendly, and kid-friendly. Honestly, folks, how much better does it get?

is out of surgery!

His FHO surgery today went well. Now, Archie will recover in his wonderful foster home and work on regaining mobility.

Archie’s surgery cost $1,600! And that’s on top of his initial ER visit, which cost another $1,600. That means we need to raise $3,200 to cover Archie’s medical expenses.

It’s wild to think that a week ago, kind firefighters found Archie struggling on the side of the road, where he’s clearly been hit by a car. After an ER visit, we learned Archie had several injuries, including a femoral neck fracture. Thankfully, today’s surgery corrected the fracture. Now, Archie can begin his journey forward being a healthy, happy dog!

We’re heartbroken to share with you that recently passed away unexpectedly 😔💔

We extend our deepest sympathies to Amber & family and are forever grateful for the wonderful life they provided Kahlua ❤️

Beautiful tribute from her loving family:

Kahlua aka Project Charlotte gained her angel wings too soon this winter. She was one of the puppies saved by the wonderful street dog team from a drainpipe in Dallas with her siblings. She had a beautiful life filled with all the love we could give her. She must have known her time on earth wasn’t going to be long because she lived each day with 5x the energy and love to give as a dog her size should have been able to. She taught us patience and tested it everyday but we would give anything to say her name one more time and have her come for a quick apology before running back into the day.We have the solace that she went quickly and without any suffering and was doing her favorite thing, playing tug and chase with her sister Bailey; though we are struggling to understand why she had to leave us so young and without true explanation. She crossed the rainbow bridge too soon but know we love you and miss you and can’t wait to play with you again one day, until then, we will remember you in all the wonderful memories you gave us. To our girl, Lua ❤️

She was rescued from the streets on January 23, 2022 so was only 3 years old which makes it even more shocking as we’ll never understand why some lives are cut so tragically short😔

We’re grateful to the volunteers who rescued her from the streets, to her fosters and to her wonderful family - she’s deeply loved and will be dearly missed and is forever in our hearts ❤️

Can you help us raise $3,200 to cover ’s medical care?

We welcomed Archie into the TSDP family just last week after firefighters found him on the side of the road while on their way to a call. We are so glad the firefighters rescued this sweet boy, as he turned out to be in really rough shape. The poor guy had just been hit by a car and could barely move.

Archie spent much-needed time in the ER, where x-rays revealed he has a femoral neck fracture (ouch!), along with a host of soft tissue injuries. The femoral neck fracture will require FHO surgery. As you can see in the video in the comments, Archie is quite immobile in his current state. Fortunately, surgery and proper recovery will have this cutie in adoptable shape in no time.

Archie’s vet bills already total $1,600. Plus, his upcoming FHO surgery to repair his neck fracture will cost another $1,600.

We could really use help from our community covering Archie’s medical expenses. Your donations - big or small - mean the world to us and to the wonderful dogs in our care.
