Take a look at these all bundled up and snuggled up 😍

If it weren’t for the TSDP community and our lifesaving work, each one of these dogs would be shivering out on the streets right now. But instead, they’re warm and cozy in the most wonderful forever homes!

We are eager for a 2025 of saving as many dogs from the streets as we can so that they, too, can feel safe, cozy, and loved.

says, “Thank you for donating gifts to me as part of TSDP’s Angel Tree!”

As you can see, Ruthie - who may be 5 years old but as a puppy at heart - is loving her news toys!

You’d never imagine busting-with-life Ruthie was found on the streets, heavily pregnant and with a bullet wound to her face. Fortunately, Ruthie joined the TSDP family. Her ten puppies all landed wonderful forever homes, and now it’s Ruthie’s turn. Ruthie has been waiting in boarding for a while now for the right family to foster or adopt her.

As a 5-year-old, 55 lb puppy-at-heart, Ruthie is playful and adventurous. She’d love an active family who will take her on all kinds of fun adventures. After a day of adventuring, Ruthie loves to power down on a soft bed. When Ruthie isn’t adventuring or snuggling, she enjoying keeping her mind sharp with some cool puzzle toys. This smart girl is also house trained, crate trained, and leash trained.

wanted to extend as big a “thank you” that a 9 lb dog could possibly extend to the kind folks who donated gifts to her as part of our Angel Tree!

As you can see, this little lady is absolutely swimming in gifts. It’s so heartwarming to see a former street dog experiencing so much love from our awesome TSDP community.

We rescued 4-year-old Grace over the summer as part of a larger group of street dogs who were all struggling to survive. Grace came to us extremely timid and with a badly injured eye, which was likely shot by a BB gun. Fast forward several months, and Grace is safe and sound in a wonderful foster home, where she is recovering beautifully from eye removal surgery. She is slowly but surely coming out of her shell as she builds confidence and learns that life as an indoor pet is not only safe but actually quite nice.

Grace isn’t available for adoption yet, but we cannot wait for this sweet, deserving girl to experience the safety and love of her very own forever home.

update!

We moved her from the ER to our regular vet and she’s eating and drinking and no longer needs continuous IV fluids 🎉

Her skin does look overall a tiny bit better than a couple days ago and is at least oozing less. They’ll keep her on an overall broad spectrum antibiotic for that too and she started treatment for ringworm.

The vet mentioned it will be a long road of gaining her strength back and putting on weight, her skin issues resolving, etc but she’s on the right track! She said she even had moved to the other side of her kennel after pottying so that’s already more strength than she had a couple days ago.

They are going to monitor her anemia and protein levels via bloodwork daily to make sure she doesn’t trend down as she’s still at borderline levels for qualifying for a blood transfusion (hct less than 20 & she’s sitting at around 22)

We will never understand how people could have walked past her on the streets as she nearly starved to death 😔💔
But are extremely grateful for the love and support from our wonderful online community who are rooting for and helping Fluffy! ❤️

Fluffy’s medical bills continue to add up!

Can you please make a tax-deductible donation towards her $513 invoice at our regular vet?

Every amount helps and is greatly appreciated!

Raise your 🐾 if you’re a fan!

Ava is TSDP’s very own sweet, spunky, sassy tripod wonder! This 1-year-old, 32 lb girl is constantly bursting with joy and enthusiasm. You’d never know this cutie is missing a leg, as she doesn’t miss a beat and has so much pep in her step. Ava loves a good time - this includes playing with other pups, playing with her toys, and going on adventures with her humans.

Ava is housetrained, crate trained, and leash trained. She’s super social, dog-friendly, and - given her Belgian Malinois/cattle dog breed mix - she’s obviously very smart.

Can you please help us save ? ❤️

She arrived at the shelter after being found on the streets and we answered their urgent plea for help as Fluffy is critically sick and has a body condition score of 2/9 and the shelter vet described her prognosis as poor 😔💔

She’s 8 months old and only 25 lbs and is severely emaciated and frail. She’s covered in scabs, sores, flea dirt and is missing a lot of fur. Her skin is oozing infection and her gums are white, her bloodwork is so bad that some of the values aren’t even registering on the scale. If she becomes more anemic, she may need a blood transfusion. Sadly her underside is scalded and infected from sitting in her own urine while on the streets (she’s so weak that she’s only able to stand briefly so we think that’s why it happened).

It’s heartbreaking that this sweet puppy has had such a miserable start to life. Fluffy deserves so much better! We picked her up from the shelter today and rushed her to the ER so she can be hospitalized and have the best chance possible at surviving but we cannot do this without you! Her estimate is in the thousands (we’ll post screenshots in the comments)

Can you please make a year-end, tax-deductible donation towards Fluffy’s medical care? Every amount helps and is greatly appreciated!

Or if you’re reading this in 2025, helping others is also a great way to start the new year!

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for all of your love & support! We’ll keep you posted on Fluffy! The ER plan is to put her on strong antibiotics intravenously for her severely infected skin, fluids as she’s dehydrated, check blood levels in 12 hours again to make sure she doesn’t have any fluid shifting and that she doesn’t become more anemic and frequent feedings as she’s likely going under the refeeding protocol.

We’re hoping with proper medical care she’ll rally and feel better soon! Please send good thoughts, prayers and energy her way! And a special thanks to Haley & Parker for taking Fluffy to the ER!

Look at this party animal! is ready to ring in the new year! This cutie is extra excited for 2025 because it will be the year he lands his forever home.

Kip is an 8-month-old, 70 lb Border Collie/Pointer mix who one of our TSDP volunteers found on the scary streets. Now, he’s enjoying the sweet life in an awesome foster home while he awaits his very own forever home.

While Kip may be shy at first, he warms up quickly, especially when treats are involved. Kip absolutely adores his foster humans, and his wagging tail is enough to make hearts melt - don’t say we didn’t warn you! This cutie loves playing with other dogs, exploring the yard, and messing around with his toys.

We asked what her New Year’s Eve plans are. She said she plans to spend the evening cozily snuggling while hoping that with the new year come many applications to foster or adopt her. 🙏🏻

Wendy has been patiently waiting in boarding to finally experience life in a loving foster or forever home. This vibrant 2-year-old, 44 lb girl exudes happiness wherever she goes. If you’re looking for the kind of dog who’s down to join you on tons of adventures, Wendy is the companion for the job. She loves walks, car rides, pool time - you name it, Wendy is game. This girl would thrive with an active family where she can be her humans’ one and only pup. And when the adventures are done for the day, Wendy is an A+ snuggler - with the softest fur!

**Foster Needed**

A local shelter put out an urgent request for help for this poor pup! She needs to be out of the shelter by the time they close tomorrow!

We’d love to save her but need a foster!

Please turn in an application via our website if you can help (her first stop will be to the vet and we’ll isolation board initially but we must have a committed foster lined up to take her after her time at the vet)!

https://www.thestreetdogproject.org/fosterdog

If we find a foster, we’ll also need help with her medical care so will keep y’all posted!

Hopefully we can all rally together to save and change her life! Thanks!

has been ADOPTED!!!!🎉

Monroe first hit our radar back in 2022 when she and her street dog friends Harley & Montana showed up in our volunteer Carol’s front yard, smart dogs!

Thankfully Carol & Antonia (who also lives nearby) began feeding to build trust and a routine!

Harley & Montana were trapped and we spent the Christmas 2022 holiday break trying to catch Monroe and her puppies who were well stashed under an abandoned house! We were eventually able to rescue the six little rascals but Monroe continued being elusive

We’re extremely grateful that Antonia was not deterred and continued feeding and trying to help her and in March 2024, Monroe was caught thanks to Antonia & Kacy! She had nine newborn puppies and thankfully Antonia offered to foster the entire family ❤️

Monroe is a prime example of why it’s so important to give shy street dogs a chance! She did a wonderful job raising her puppies (who have all been adopted) and we’re so glad she gets to stay forever with Antonia and her family! 🎉😊❤️

It definitely seems they were destined to be family! We’re extremely thankful to Antonia for adopting and sending this update!

“We are so thrilled to finally make it official with Monroe. She has become the silliest & goofiest girl who loves playing with her bestfriend, Juno (also TSDP alum/former Oak Cliff elusive mama dog), they really are two peas in a pod🩷Part of me always knew from the beginning that she would never leave my house, but we worked very hard to make her adoptable and try to find her the perfect home. We watched Monroe try to survive on the streets, we watched her raise her puppies (she was an exceptional mama) and watched her blossom into a beautiful, confident, loving and extremely loyal dog. She endured so much in her short life, but now that is in the past. There is nothing like the bond you have with a street dog that you’ve spent months and months feeding & trying to gain their trust. Sometimes we don’t choose the dog, the dog chooses us❤️Welcome Home Monroe❤️
