Milo update!
Milo was a very scared, loving, gentle boy. He was found as a stray and now living in Wisconsin with a loving family. He soon was a foster favorite and got the chance to transport to Wisconsin where he got adopted by an amazing family through #fetchwi! Thank you #fetch for your amazing partnership and saving sweet Milo!
Happy tails Milo!
Puppies to Nebraska!
Our busy week began with a transport of 20 dogs and puppies to Wisconsin and ended with us bringing 33 dogs and puppies to Scatter Joy Acres in Nebraska. These dogs came from rural East Texas, Austin, Dallas, and Oklahoma. They were all abandoned or dumped, including a little heeler family that was left in a trailer to die when the family moved away. Needless to say it takes a village to help these dogs, from rescuers who see dogs and help them, to fosters who open their homes, vets who reduce fees to vaccinate and treat them, to the rescues who make room for a few more, and of course the adopters who make them part of their families. We love to be a part of these dogs’ happily ever afters. ❤️

It’s been a busy week! Monday began with a 2 am start driving 20 dogs and puppies to new lives in Wisconsin. the majority of the dogs and pups went to our amazing rescue partners Fetch Wisconsin Rescue and Wisconsin Adopt A Golden Retriever along with 4 to another rescue and one to an adopter! Team work is certainly making this dream work for all these Texas dogs! Thank you to everyone who makes this happen: fosters, volunteers, rescue partners, supporters and donations. We couldn’t do without everyone pulling together.
In honor of National Rescue Day we’d like to introduce you to the Charcuterie Litter: Rye, Olive, Brie, Machego, Cheddar, Swiss, and 4 more names to be determined. They babies were found near a train track in the country. There were originally 15, but by the time they were rescued 5 had died from either cats or other trauma. These are the lucky ones. These babies are still in need. 4 are with a temporary foster and still need a home to stay in for 3 weeks. If you can open your home, fill out a foster application, or we can always use donations to apply to their care. Thank you for your support!
Thank you to everyone who donated to Pets Going Places on North Texas Giving Day. Your dollars will go a long way to help vet the dogs, and gas up the van to take them to their new lives.
Of course we take donations any time of the year. You can find the donate button right at the top of the page.
And if you're interested in fostering, please reach out.
It's indescribable joy.
This little Martini was rescued after being seen tossed from a car window. She was shaken but not stirred! Pets Going Places took her in, fostered her and cared for her. After transporting north, she was quickly adopted by her foster family and now lives happily on a farm surrounded by chickens and deer. This is rescue. You can help by donating at the link.

It’s transport day! We drove through the night to arrive in Rolla, MO, around 5 am. This gives some of the big dogs a chance to play in the dog park before the next leg of their transport begins. Later today they’ll arrive in Wisconsin to loving foster and adoptive homes. Happy new life!
One of the best feelings when fostering a dog is bringing a shy, scared dog out of an overcrowded shelter and watching her come out of her shell and integrate into a family. It’s a big day when a dog who has probably never lived in a home starts to play with toys. Meet Falafel or Fala. She is the absolute sweetest and is going to be a great addition to a lucky Wisconsin family in March.
