Here’s why Happy and Prickle have Kaitlynn D.’s heart ❤️
Happy and Prickle are cape porcupines that live in the Kopje habitat on the gorilla trail. They are usually snuggled up together, but if you are lucky enough to see them out and about, you'll see their beautiful quills and the cutest faces. They are never shy to let keepers know their feelings. Our love for them will never be reciprocated though because of their one true love, corn.
It’s fitting that BFR this year falls on World Ranger Day. On this day, the world commemorates rangers that were killed or injured in the line of duty and celebrates the work rangers do to protect the planet’s natural treasures. Join us today to learn all about the importance of rangers and how they need our support to continue being the guardians of our planet.
Unable to attend BFR tonight? Another way you can show your support today is by making a donation to The Thin Green Line Foundation - a nonprofit organization that works to provide rangers worldwide the assistance they deserve and need. 💚
You can visit the link below to make a donation via the Born Free USA Rescue & Welfare Projects.

Between our sponsors, attendees, donations, and our silent auction at SFR, we have raised…🥁🥁🥁$9051.02 towards our national AAZK fundraising efforts!
These organizations include Lewa Wildlife Conservancy, Ujung Kulon National Park, and Action for Cheetahs.
Again, thank you so much for making this a successful event. We still have Bowling for Rhinos later this year so stayed tuned!
