Here’s the best Thanksgiving guide to follow from your favorite canine nutritionist, Auntie M!
You may notice a few differences from those cute graphics floating around online, and that’s on purpose! It’ll save you trips to the ER Vet, and keep your carpets clean 🐶👌💯

We’re focusing on digestion, fat safety, and keeping your carpet clean, not just “what won’t kill your dog.”
When you make your pup a holiday plate, this meal replaces dinner, so don’t overfeed.🍽️ Always cut everything into small pieces so nobody chokes!

And because good digestion matters, I always recommend adding:

• A grain element — plain quinoa or oats
• A sprinkle of flaxseed meal — about 1 teaspoon per 10 pounds of body weight

This helps balance the meal, support the gut, and prevent that next-day Thanksgiving diarrhea surprise. 💀

Now let’s build the safest, happiest plate:

⭐️ YES TO SHARE (plain + simple)
• White turkey meat – lean protein
• Sweet potato – gentle carbs, fiber
• Pumpkin/squash – easy on tummy
• Carrots – light, crunchy
• Celery – hydrating, low-cal
• Blueberries (raw) – antioxidants, small portion
• Flaxseed meal – fiber + omegas
• Quinoa – clean, complete carb
• Oats – soothing, mild fiber

• Dark meat – high fat
• Skin – pancreatitis risk
• Gravy – fat + flour + salt
• Stuffing – onions + spices
• Ham / pork – fatty + salty
• Mashed potatoes – butter + cream
• Corn – low value, hard to digest

• Bananas (ripe) – sugar bomb
