WAY BACK WEDNESDAY!!!

SPRITE is an almost 3 year old, light colored, but still somewhat, tri-colored Beagle/Terrier/Spaniel mix. She is really just a Heinz 57 bottle all shaken up of everything nice! She is 22 lbs., full grown and terrific with every single dog she's ever met or been thrown in to play with at Jennifer's Pet Rescue since we rescued her back in April of 2024. So she is fast approaching her 1 year anniversary with us.

She'd like a new family before her save-a-versary gets here! She is of course fully vetted for the year, spayed, microchipped, etc. Her adoption fee is $150.

We are going to start a new thing on Wednesdays called WAY BACK WEDNESDAY! This will spot light a different dog each Wednesday that we've had WAY too long. Sometimes a dog just gets overlooked due to color, it was listed on a day we posted a lot of other dogs or who knows why.

And the best and easiest thing you can do for us is to SHARE the mess out of that post, even if that's not the dog for you!

Vargus is a senior citizen that is a 10-12 year old male, little black Maltese mix we just shaved down and so sweet. He weighs 9 lbs. and loves to cuddle. He doesn't mind being picked up and carried around.

He was rescued from animal control when his time was. And although, he was microchipped, his owners could never be located and so much time had passed since his chip wa simplated, they never changed their address or contact info. THIS IS WHY KEEPING YOUR MICROCHIP UP TO DATE IS SO VERY IMPORTANT! So we saved him and had to shave off his entire coat because he was so matted. He's now a happy guy and probably feels so free!

He is now freshly shaved, neutered, heartworm negative, microchipped, up to date on all of his vaccinations for the year, dewormed, flea treated and on monthly heartworm prevention.

Tessa is an 18 month old, 20 lb., full grown, tan with some speckles, female mixed breed Beagle. She may have a little Beagle and a little JRT in her. But she is most definitely 100% sweet!! She has the best littler personality and loves all other dogs, kids of all ages and has never met a stranger. She is literally the sweetets!

She is heartworm negative, spayed, microchipped, dewormed several times, up to date on all of her vaccinations, flea treated and on monthly heartworm prevention.

Darby is a 2 year old, shorted haired, mainly white (with some tan), 2 year old, 18 lb., Terrier maybe a little Jack Russell mix female. Of course she is full grown and she was rescued from animal control when her time was up. She is terrific with other dogs, kids of all ages and loves everyone she meets.

Shakira is a sweet girl but she's far from perfect!

So if you're looking for a perfect Frenchie she's not the one for you. But if you're looking for the sweetest little girl that is very SO thankful to be saved from animal control when her time was up that just wants all the lovin', then she is your girl!!!

We saved her well over a month ago and she's put on several pounds in that time and we have worked so hard on her, making her healthy and happy again! She is approx. 6 years old from our vet's best guess, weighs 16 lbs. but could stand to gain a few more along the way. She has a little hair loss on a back leg, had a heat cycle recently, she is missing a back toenail that may or may not grow back that looked ripped out when we got her, her teeth are a bit "worn" our vet called them and although she has access to dry food 24/7, we also feed her canned food every morning as well because well why not?....she deserves it and loves her canned food.

But on the plus side, she is heartworm negative (yea!), is now microchipped (in case she ever gets lost again she can be found), was just spayed, she's had all of her vaccines for the year, has been dewormed, flea treated, and is on monthly heartworm prevention.

She needs a home where she can get all the love and devotion she needs right now. So those with a multi-pet household, she's not your girl. Theo is the most adorable Teddy Bear ever seen!

He's a Wheaten Terrier, 16-17 months old, & full grown at 30 lbs. This is a low shedding breed, but not a non shedding breed. And he's not cut out for a home with senior citizens or little ones.

He is leash trained, crate trained and housebroken too! He was adopted a few months ago by an older lady that he turned out to just be too much for so she placed him with us to help him find his new forever home. She took great care of him and trained him well, but he's just a big puppy and she knew he needed more.

He has never met a stranger and is the kindest, sweetest, cuddliest boy you've ever gotten hugs from.

He is heartworm negative, microchipped, neutered, dewormed, flea treated, up to date on all of his vaccinations for the year, is on monthly heartworm prevention and has a very fresh professional groom. He also comes with his crate and he does best on a harness.

This sweet boy is coming soon and will be ready for adoption this weekend. His name is Otto and he is a 6 month old Aussie Doodle.

He was surrendered by his family that didn't have the time he needs. He is the sweetest, happiest guy ever but he needs training, consistency and someone who's home more than not.

PENDING!

We are posting these 5 Doodle puppies and they are coming soon! Please read the post in it's entirety before applying to adopt. They are almost 7 weeks old and can go home in about 10-14 days. We will be accepting applications for the next week or so.

ALL of these babies are pending to go to their new homes.

To apply send us a completed dog adoption application off of our website and email it to us at [email protected]. Completed means every since question is filled in. It wasn't designed to be done on your phone but rather a computer but is possible on your phone. And please specify which ONE you're applying for. (If you send us an application for all the puppies, it won't be approved.)

Do not apply if you live more than a 90 minute drive outside of Dallas, GA. Do not apply if you can't take the puppy home when it's ready to go home. We do not adopt out pairs of littermates, it's just not a good plan so please don't ask for 2. They will need regular grooming their entire life.

When the puppies leave us they will each be microchipped, spayed or neutered, dewormed many times, flea treated, had their 1st and 2nd DHPP vaccines, their Bordetella vaccine and started on monthly heartworm prevention. They will need 2 more vet visits for their last 2 DHPPs and for their Rabies 3 and 6 weeks after their adoption.

The last photo posted is their 20 lb. Aussie Doodle mama, and she had already found her forever home. She, and all of them really, are the last of our rescues from the Coweta County Hoarding case back in January. These babies were born here at Jennifer's Pet Rescue.

Poncho is a 5 year old, black and tan fluffy male Chihuahua/Spaniel mix. He is 13 lbs. and so fluffy. He's a cuddler and so friendly. He also does this amazing trick where he sits on his hind legs and moved his front paws up and down almost like he's begging. He is leash trained, crate trained and think he's housebroken too, although he was found as a stray.

He is heartworm negative, microchipped, neutered, dewormed, flea treated, up to date on all of his vaccinations for the year and he is on monthly heartworm prevention.

Granny is ready for her new start. She was rescued from animal control after being up a stray. We know, we know...who loses their 4 lb., dozen year old dog and doesn't go looking for her?

She needed a lot of upgrades, so we've had her about a month and put several ounces on her, which is a lot when you only weigh 4 lbs. She had a dental with about half a dozen extractions which isn't too bad for her age. She gets canned food every day but she also chows down on her dry food which we leave her free access to all day. She doesn't have a perfect heart, but who does at her age?

She is heartworm negative, spayed, had a dental with extractions, had x-rays, is microchipped, dewormed, flea treated, had all of her vaccinations for the year and is up to date on all of her vaccinations for thr whole year.

Jaycee is just a year old and ready to go to her new home. She needs a home where her people will be home a lot and she can get consistency. She is terrific with other dogs, as she came from the Great Doodle Rescue at the beginning of the year, where she lived with 180+ other dogs. So she doesn't even know how to not be with other dogs. She is great on a leash and crate trained. Her coat looks just like it does in her photo, as it's super recent and she was shaved bald 2 months ago now.

She is the sweetest, happiest, most appreciative girl ever and she loves to be wherever the people are!

She is microchipped, heartworm negative, spayed, dewormed many times, flea treated, on monthly heartworm prevention and up to date on all of her vaccinations for the year.

She did her time, she raised 6 amazing babies that have all been adopted and now it's her time to shine! She is leash trained, crate trained and well on her way to being house trained too. She is great with other animals and makes herself very comfortable very quickly.

Cedar is ready for his new home! He is the sweetest, happiest guy ever. We rescued him from animal control when his time was up. He loves to be with you, by your side all the time. He would be fine all by himself or would be fine in a house full, he is just an easy go with the flow kind of guy.

Chino is ready for his new home. He is 4 years old and was surrendered by his family that was moving and couldn't take him. He's always lived with other dogs, so he's great with everyone and everything! He is 22 lbs. and now fully vetted for the year. Also he had a Nevus grown removed from his right hip that will need a suture removal in 10-14 days and he does have chronic otitis that he's just become accustomed to. He is also leash trained (harness), crate trained and housebroken.

He is microchipped, heartworm negative, has been neutered, dewormed many times, flea treated, had all of his vaccinations for the year, including DHPP, Bordetella and Rabies, and is on monthly heartworm prevention.
