A preview of the rebranding I’ve been working on!

I’ve been getting my programs in order and uploaded, updating my website and it’s look and I’m about ready to roll it all out. After becoming ill for a few years, I am excited to get back to doing what I love most, helping families understand, care for and train their companion animals!

Enzo working on his recall and attention at a distance at Norbuck Park here in Dallas, TX.

If you have not been to Norbuck park, I highly recommend it. It's like stepping into another world. Beautiful tall grasses and wildflowers line the paths and the lighting at sunset is really stunning! It is also a great place to take your leash reactive dog for respite from their triggers because the park is rarely busy and so big, you can easily move far enough away to get under threshold.

Feeding your dog out of a bowl? Cut it out! Just stop it! I encounter lots of pet owners who walk their dogs for miles or play fetch for an hour. All excellent forms of physical stimulation but what about their mental state? Dogs are scavengers and having them hunt for kibble or treats engages the seeking system in their brains. By making them work for their meals you'll be increasing their confidence, building their creativity and sense of autonomy as well as truly tiring your pet out! As you can see in this video, it's super easy to do. With Hannah's couch blanket folded in half, I scattered her dinner inside it and done! #Hannahbanana may be a senior but her attitude is that of a 4 year old. So, to keep life interesting and help her burn off some mental energy while Mom works long hours, I enjoy coming up with new way to challenge her.
