CityVet Lovers Lane-Who we are

We are pleased to announce that CityVet Lovers Lane is the most recent CityVet location to open in the Dallas area! This state-of-the-art facility is veterinarian-owned and led and our goal is to provide a people-centered, complete pet care experience that is convenient and a one-stop-shop for you!

We not only have a large variety of both prescription and non-prescription healthy foods at this location, but also offer full veterinary care which includes but is not limited to the following services: pediatric to geriatric preventative care and wellness, emergency care, surgery, dentistry, nutrition and quality of life consults, and gold-standard hospitalization. This location has bathing and grooming services as well as boarding, however due the size of the clinic, we do not have a Day Play option at this location.

The Lead Veterinarian at this location is Dr. Cambria Melkus (previously Dr. Cambria McCabe) who was born and raised only a few miles away! She graduated from Highland Park High School, received her Bachelor’s Degree from St. Edward’s University, attended St. Matthew’s University, School of Veterinary Medicine, and completed her clinical portion of her veterinary degree at Oklahoma State University, School of Veterinary Medicine in 2014. She then joined the CityVet family as an Associate Veterinarian at the Preston Royal location which is now called CityVet Preston Forest.

Our goal is to run our business as well as any other corporation from a systems standpoint, but to operate like a “Mom and Pop” store from a relational standpoint with our clients. We want our clients and team members to reap the many benefits of a well-run company that feels no bigger than the “local vet”. We achieve this through proper business systems that are operated with excellence by the right people doing the right things at the right time.
