Our thanks go out to all you sensational sleuths and sensationalists who joined us, ready to solve the quirkiest of mysteries! As we navigated through the madness of a countryside manor filled with eccentric characters, we laughed, puzzled, and "timewarped" our way through the night.

8 Things to Remember About Summer Weddings. We are gearing up for another warm wedding season. Thankfully Honalee Forest's wedding venue and reception area are in the shade. If you have any questions - share them here or on our website.

#1. Start your ceremony later. The later in the day you make it, the cooler it will be outside.

#2. Keep your outdoor ceremony in mind while shopping for Bride's dress. The same goes for the bridesmaid, groom, and groomsmen attire. We have seen couples play into the summer heat with tropical wedding themes. The groom and groomsmen opted to not wear suits that were on the theme, budget-friendly, and comfortable for a summer outdoor wedding!

#3. Print your programs on thick cardstock and make them into fans. Trust us; your guests will LOVE YOU for this. We have also seen couples order pretty paper fans. You can have these stationed somewhere on the way to the ceremony site (maybe next to the guest book or water station), or you can have a paper fan preset on each chair.

#4. Tell your guests that the wedding will be outside. Send out an email or message encouraging your guests to dress lightly — give them permission to dress for the season.

#5. Consider wearing your hair up and having a makeup set on hand. Having your hair up will keep you as cool as possible throughout the evening, and having your makeup set will help keep you from sweating it off. The same goes for your bridesmaids!

#6. Consider doing a first look and wedding party photos before the ceremony. It may be a bit warmer (since it will be earlier in the day), but it will also reduce the time you will have to spend outdoors following your ceremony — all left will be family portraits.

#7. Waterstation Availability. If you only do one thing from this list, let it be this one. Keeping everyone well-hydrated will be the most crucial component to the success of your outdoor summertime wedding. The same goes for the bride, groom, and wedding party — lots of water!

#8. Pack an extra shirt for anyone wearing a button-up. For anyone in the wedding party wearing a button-up, have them bring an extra shirt (same color) to change into after the ceremony and before the reception. This way, they'll be clean, dry, and ready to celebrate — no sweat!

It’s cold outside friends! With the weather comes 70+ eggless hens. Winter is their time of rest and recouping from a year of giving us such a sweet golden bliss. But with this sunshine, and by some Christmas miracle, our family has been gifted with enough eggs for a few hardy breakfasts and it is the best Christmas gift I could ask for.
