Crossfire Farm is a family owned private boarding, training, and sales facility in Damascus, MD.

Lauren's passion for horses started at an early age when her mother enrolled her in her first riding lessons at just 5 years old. From her first blue ribbon on a school pony named Robin, to her first international competition on her beloved mare Ella... Lauren quickly realized that this passion of hers was one to last the ages. Her character and dedication make her not only a good competitor, but

a knowledgeable and compassionate horseman. Lauren has a methodical and kind approach towards training horses and teaching students. She believes that in order to obtain the right answers, you must ask the right questions. And that starts with teaching the horse a clear means of communication and language. Lauren is patient, concise, and confident while working with her horses. And she values creating strong and trustworthy partnerships with each horse she has the opportunity to work with. Lauren is the primary contact for lesson, training, and sales inquiries. She also is the primary handler and caretaker of the barn and horses. Rider Qualifications & Experience:

USDF Bronze Medalist
USPC Graduate ‘HA’, Redland Hunt Pony Club, Maryland Region
Lead riding instructor for summer specialty camp at Bar-T, housed at well-known and reputable event facility (Waredaca) for several years. Lead Riding Instructor for Lowell School Camp (Private)
Pony Club instruction
Private instruction
Working student for Dressage competition barn
Working student for Eventing competition and sales barn
Has trained and competed multiple horses for owners, in addition to personal horses
Experience and success with OTTBs
Experience and great success with several difficult horses
Graduate of University of Maryland, with Bachelors Degree in Art, specialty design concentration

2019, Thoroughbred, Gelding, 17h. Excellent event, fox hunter or straight dressage prospect. Placed 3rd at his first recognized event! He has also fox hunted second field. Consistent dressage scores 20s-low 30s.

Dash is a striking boy. Excellent mover on the flat, brave over fences and XC. Rides in a nathe or snaffle bit in all three phases. Hacks alone or in a group, and in a hackamore! Never misbehaved and extremely safe and genuine. He is an absolute blast to take foxhunting as well, so rateable and balanced. Sweet personality and good manners.

He did have tie back surgery and must eat from the ground. No vices, never had any soundness issues. Has very solid and healthy feet.

Crossfire Farm in Damascus MD has one stall coming available in March. We are shifting some horses to field board and making space for new clients!

We are a small eventing barn, with horses and riders ranging from starter to FEI levels. We offer a great atmosphere, the highest standard of care, and plenty of opportunities for showing and schooling.

Amenities include indoor and outdoor arenas, XC on site, conditioning loop, access to ample trails, fields with large run-ins, small group turn out. Within 30 minutes of several major venues and events.

Looking to pick up teaching off site 1-2 days weekly local to Damascus. Insured, run my own farm but looking to expand my client base.

Experience backing horses from the start, restarting off the track thoroughbreds, and producing horses through the FEI levels. I have produced riders from grassroots through the FEI levels of eventing as well. Happy to teach students of all ages and riding levels.

I have a methodical and kind approach towards training horses and teaching students. I believe that in order to obtain the right answers, you must ask the right questions. And that starts with teaching the horse and rider a clear means of communication. I value creating strong and trustworty partnerships with each horse and rider I have the opportunity to work with.

Crossfire Farm in Damascus MD has 1 full care field spot open.

We are a small private eventing and dressage boarding & training facility, with indoor and outdoor arenas, trails, jumps, etc.

Excellent care. Purina feed.

Also open to reduced board in exchange for work, but not required.

We are also seeking occasional Barn Help for a.m. and p.m. feed, turn in/out, barn chores. Someone to fill-in on occasional weekends and weekdays here and there.

The hard work pays off! My baby horses did their first recognized event at Full Moon Farm HT. Both had their best events of the season and will enjoy some time off and maybe some foxhunting!

🥇 Excel Star Babadook (aka 🎩 The Baby Babadook) won his division OBN-B on a 28.5

🥉 Lunar Dash 🌛✨ placed 3rd on a 35.5 in his division OBN-A

Both made huge improvements from the last event and both very competitive in large classes. It took me a while to get them rolling as I acquired both while I was still on crutches in December! I’ve taken things excruciatingly slow with them, but I think it’s paid off in the long run. Very proud of both finishing their season strong!

🌜🌟 Lunar Dash 🌟🌛 He has all the makings of an upper level prospect. However he is kind enough for an amateur.

Dash is a 17.1h, 5 yo, OTTB gelding. I’ve taken things very slow with him as he’s a very big horse and big mover. He is not hard on his body, and very well balanced for his size and stature. This horse is unflappable as well, he’s never so much as spooked underneath of me. I ride him in a nathe in all three phases and a hackamore on the trails. He is a extremely sound, no prior soundness issues. He did however have tie back surgery and requires a knowledgeable owner.

He is very soft in the mouth and very trainable. Would excel in the event world, straight dressage, or foxhunter. I believe he would make an excellent foxhunter or staff horse.

CF Pepe! had a super final outing in the Open Intermediate aT The Maryland Horse Trials this weekend. He jumped a clear SJ round, and added a bit of time XC to finish in 6th place. He was also TIP Champion!

We are so proud of Pepe’s efforts this year! He stepped up to the big leagues and while the year was full of learning and gaining experience, he also had multiple finishes in the ribbons at this new level. He qualified for AEC and Area II Championships.

We opted to finish his season at the national level HT so we could end his season with confidence. He is so young and the sky is the limit! Pepe will enjoy some rest and be back for an exciting 2025 season!

I’ve come to the decision to offer my amazing young horse CF Pepe! He has loads of potential and scope for the upper levels. And he comes in a small package that would suit a wide range of aspiring riders. I originally bought Pepe as a personal horse as he has loads of potential. However, financial circumstances have forced me to put him on the market. Pepe is a 15.2, 5 yo, OTTB gelding by Brethren. He has done one beginner novice and is ready for fall competition. He was started slowly and thoughtfully. He has a wonderful mouth and a canter to die for. Pepe is the bravest horse that has come through our barn. That with his carefulness in the showjumping, will make him a special horse for someone. Pepe is not for a beginner as he is still young and green. He would be best suited for an aspiring rider looking to produce a talented horse on a budget. He is forward but goes in a snaffle in all three phases. Get him now before I change my mind!
