I bought my first pair of purebred Angus females in 2008. I fell in love with the business of breeding good cattle to not only building my own great herd but to help improve other herds across the nation hopefully. In 2009 I acquired a set of embryos from Foundation Cattle Company along with a pair of heifers. I then purchased a few donor cows from Jauer's that include the 2089 and 3072 cows. All

of my cattle came from or are genetics from Ohlde's in Kansas, Jauer's in Iowa, and Foundation Cattle Company in Missouri. I am about 85% purebred Angus with a small Sim-Angus division. I rely heavily on embryo transfers and AI to improve my herd. I do about 30 embryo transfers and AI a major portion of my herd. Excited to announce our inaugural, first annual sale. Teaming up with Robert Epling of Epling Angus Farm, and Laramie Stipe of Stipe Angus. This will be a genetics sale of flushes, embryos, and semen. Watch for more information in the coming weeks. Some of the cows that flushes and embryos will be offered on are attached.

Excited to add this bull to my bull battery. I believe he will be a very impactful sire. He was a real standout in the Sinclair offering this year. His dam is a super productive cow with a weaning ratio of 6 at 108. She is a beautiful cow that adds a lot of stoutness to her calves. Pedigree and picture of his dam are in the comments.

In my opinion the hardest part of this business is letting go of the animals that really get your ball rolling. I don’t think I fully appreciated what this cow had done til tonight reflecting on her career while hauling her to town. The cow pictured is Boyle Iris 08X. She unfortunately came up open at 13 years old so her time to go had come. She was the first embryo transfer calf ever born in my herd. Definitely was the cow I always looked for when rotating paddocks because if you didnt find her, she found you for her daily petting. 08X wasn’t flashy, she was a pretty plain built cow. Never brought in the biggest calf, she ratio’d 99 on her 11 calves at weaning. Calved first cycle 8/11 times. She sent 2 bulls to work in other herds with great success. There four that didnt quite make the cut for bulls but fed out extremely well. Biggest mark left is with her daughters: 308A now is working for Robert Epling’s herd, 508C is a OCC Paxton that will be entering my donor pen in the near future, 708E by OCC Unbelievable, 908G and 208K by Crush. Her influence will run into the end of my career in this business through her daughters that she left. Definitely going to be taking a step back now and re-evaluating my herd. So that I can give a harder look at the cows like 08X that fly under the radar while quietly do everything right.

Have some really awesome replacement heifers available. Getting to the point making to many good ones and cant keep them all. Eight head available. All are Crush or Traveler 0C4 daughters born between mid April to mid May 2022. All have four plus generations of Ohlde breeding behind them.

Excited to add these two females to the herd from Jauer Angus. They exhibit everything I am looking for in cattle. The are easy fleshing, stylish, and are very Bonsma in character. Definitely see these two doing big things in the future for my program. Video in the comments.

Excited to partner up with Robert Epling in the purchase of Sinclair Eriskay 5E3 2N11. Definitely a gem in my eyes in the Sinclair female sale. 5E3 is also a direct daughter of the legendary of 2N11 who did great things for both Sinclair’s and Coleman’s. Pictured also is last year’s bull calf that was the second high seller.
