Why You Should Try This

Quick and Easy: This project is uncomplicated and can be completed in under an hour.
Eco-Friendly: It’s a great way to recycle and repurpose used plastic bottles.

Aesthetic Appeal: Bunch them together, and they make for a visually pleasing array of hanging planters, especially if you use green plastic bottles. Though, any color or design will do.

Materials Required:
Used plastic bottles (2 to 4 litres in size)
Cherry tomato plant seedlings
Masking tape
Hole punch
Knife
Strong twine
Soil or compost

Step-by-Step Guide:
Prepare the Bottle: First, ensure that your plastic bottles are clean and devoid of any labels. Using a knife, carefully cut away the bottom of the bottle.
Smooth the Edges: The cut might leave jagged edges. Seal these using masking tape. Subsequently, make four evenly spaced holes in the tape (and through the bottle), one on each side.
Plant the Seedling: Turn the bottle upside down, so the mouth faces downward. Now, carefully insert your cherry tomato seedling into the mouth of the bottle. Gently position the plant, ensuring that the root ball is spread out inside.
Add Soil: Fill the bottle up to three-quarters with good-quality compost or soil.

Tomorrow 9-16-23, at Jefferson County High School, 8am-2pm. The FFA will be hosting a Fall Flower and decor sale. All money goes into the FFA program for the students. I can promise you won’t find better look Mums anywhere else, the neatest fall signs made by students, and plus your helping the students. And they are huge this year. You gotta come check it out. And the FFA Teachers do a Wonderful job with the students.

We are in Silkie Heaven. One of my favorite chicken breeds are silkie’s. But my 13 year son that helps on the chicken farm hated them. We started getting a few, and he begged me to not get anymore. Well after we get a couple or 8 or doesn’t really matter how many, but truly loves them and is now asking that we get sell all our chickens that are not silkies and only have silkies.

Just got in this afternoon. All pullets, all very healthy and active. These are some great egg layers, and will make a nice Rainbow of colored eggs. Plus they are just a few weeks till ready to be in coop, so all the hard work is already done.
