What do horses eat, and what foods should they avoid? 🐴

Horses are herbivores, and their diet should be well-balanced to keep them healthy and energetic.

✅ What can horses eat?

✔ Hay and grass – the foundation of their diet, providing fiber and essential nutrients.
✔ Oats, barley, corn – grains that provide energy (but should be given in moderation).
✔ Vegetables and fruits – carrots, apples, beets, bananas. Great treats, but in limited amounts!
✔ Mineral supplements – salt, calcium, and vitamins to maintain good health.

❌ What should horses not eat?

🚫 Bread, baked goods – can cause digestive issues.
🚫 Potatoes and cabbage – difficult for horses to digest.
🚫 Chocolate and sweets – harmful, and some ingredients can be toxic.
🚫 Citrus fruits and onions – may cause stomach irritation.

Even healthy foods should be given in moderation! If you want to treat a horse, choose safe snacks and always ask the owner for permission 🐎

The trial lesson consists of:

✨ 10-20 minutes – Safety instructions, horse grooming, learning basic handling and tack. Saddling the horse and preparation for the lesson on the ground

🏇 30-45 minutes – Riding session: learning how to control the horse, stopping, turning, and proper posture. Practicing exercises at a work

🧼 Final step – Unsaddling and washing the horse

What to wear for horseback riding? 🐴

To ensure your ride is comfortable and safe, it’s important to choose the right outfit: 👒

✔ Footwear – must be closed-toe! The best options are boots or shoes with a non-slip sole. Sneakers, sandals, or platform shoes are not suitable.

✔ Clothing – should be comfortable and fitted. Leggings or special riding breeches are ideal. Jeans may cause discomfort, and loose pants can get in the way while riding.

✔ Top – a t-shirt, polo, or sweater depending on the weather, without long scarves or bulky details.

And don’t worry about the helmet – we provide it on-site!🫶🏼
