In this phase, specifically, we are continuing to desensitize in a high distraction environment. Both dogs have learned this almost a year ago in their training, we are just bringing it back to help reinforce.
Both dogs have specific tasks for their handlers they will be performing, but we stepped up the training by having them do it together in a busy environment.

So a little backstory on Miss Millie…
Miss Millie was in a smaller housing area with her family and then they decided to purchase this beautiful home with so many woods and trails right in her backyard for her to explore. She shut down, became very reactive, a lot changed for her. 🥺
I always remind people think of it from their perspective. Their whole world just flipped upside down from their every day smells, sounds, and environment. Dogs are 100% creatures of habit and love routine. Some dogs handle change better than others. Miss Millie did not handle the change well at all.
❤️Fast forward four weeks into training, we have helped boost Millie‘s confidence in so many ways. She went from pushing me out the door, pretty much trying to bite me out of “stranger danger”fear, not wanting to even go potty in the grass in the yard, to now letting me give belly rubs, and welcoming me into the home. Oh and big dawg walking adventures around her property.
Great job mom, dad and sister. The best is yet to come and she is still just adjusting to her new home.
