As Thanksgiving approaches, we want to stop and thank Mother Earth for the bounty in which we will be consuming. Mostly from the growth of our own turkeys, farm fresh vegetables, and a bonfire of woods on our property.

Through life's trials and depressions, this farm and our family are our happy place. We are thankful for our life together and what our love has grown into.

We wanted to make sure this little surprise made it!!! Meet Eydis! Appropriately named after the Godess of God Luck in Norse Mythology! We sold her father Johnny over 6 months again when baby Astrid came into the world. And SURPRISE!!!! Mom showed no signs of pregnancy nor did alert us to the birth like her last.

But MY OH MY I am smitten with this beautiful girl who is a spittin image of her daddy.

Happy New Year family and friends!!!

So much has happened and I thought I would update everyone.

This past year was crazy. Believe it or not I spent Christmas day in Suffolk, VA with my father and brother for the first time in 16 years! Yes I said 16 years. They met my gorgeous wife and bonded over cooking and puzzles. It was a little awkward but I'm happy to start building back my family again.

On the home front we have started fixing the little things. New toilet fixtures in each toilet. (No worries I won't show pictures). New kitchen faucet. And we decided to paint the bedrooms blue. New Years Eve we spent ringing in the new year with painting and fixing up our home.

Unfortunately, we haven't been able to continue due myself falling ill with covid/flu like symptoms. But I'm on the up and up and will be back to normal soon I hope.

Fall is in the air. Taking time to enjoy the little things. Sitting on my porch and drinking coffee, feeling the brisk autumn air on my skin, and watching as my animals thrive and enjoy their lives on our little homestead. I'm am beyond grateful for this beautiful morning with Darylyn.
