We are excited to have Indy staying with us to focus on the basics! He is a sweet 4 year Friesian cross who you could call an “old soul”. Looking forward to seeing his progress both individually and with his partner Marcia! 💕

A huge shoutout needs to be given to my student Kim and her dance partner Mateo Matahto, aka “Tater.” She began her partnership with this OTTB back in June. My first session with these two showed that he had little concept of connection, “go”, or how to turn (especially to the right). What he did present however, was a kind heart and a natural athleticism. Now, only three months later, and this pair is demonstrating correct inside leg to outside rein connection, have begun to find their “go”, and have started to introduce baby leg yields which Tater has accepted with ease. Over the years Kim has always demonstrated true horsemanship by putting her horses first and her goals/wants second. I think she has found a partner that she can put first and he will put her first in return. Keep riding on my friend. 💕

It is an exciting time when a horse has enough confidence and understanding of the aids to begin the flying change. Tempis have always been one of my favorite movements to both watch and ride. When they are taught correctly it is mesmerizing to watch them be performed with such effortlessness and straightness.
I am very proud to say Caruzo’s first changes ever, over the pole, were clean and had nice jump to them! This young horse’s willingness to learn new things without objection is something to be truly admired.

They boys and I are getting really excited for the Chatt Hills show this weekend! It will be Caruzo’s first show, Rico’s second, and Justo’s fourth! The three musketeers are feeling ready to rock and roll! Let’s get it boys 😎

A huge shoutout to my student Deanna Kaminski and her horse Quazi. This horse had a hard life before Deanna got him. He was anxious, fearful, and non-trusting. He would hyper react to her aids and almost go into panic mode just at the walk. Now, they are schooling training level and starting leg-yields. Quazi has put his trust in her and Deanna has put her heart into him. These moments bring tears to my eye. This is what riding is all about...building trust and believing in your horse. Way to go you two! ❤️
