Once I get caught up, I'll again open :)

Thank you for your patience. Stay tuned.

Ive been a bit slower on finishing projects because I have officially begun a new career.

I will still be doing bone art and articulations, its just going to take large bits on time to finalize projects for a while.

I apologize for delays. I will be returning to your projects tomorrow, and will work with diligence on projects each Monday.

Ive been asked why I do this.

Ive also been thanked, with tears, for doing this.

Recently a client asked me to articulate and forever immortalize their deceased pet.

Her words to me were deep, and I'll never forget them.

"Thank you. From the bottom of my heart, thank you. I know I could have just cremated her, but I couldn't make myself. She meant the world to me. She was my everything, and it seemed so wrong to turn her into nothing when she meant everything. I cherish what you've done for her, for us. Thank you."

Apologies for the lack of posts.
We have been VERY busy processing multiple pet memorials.

Typically when I process bones, I put up a few progress photos for page engagement purposes. However, out of respect to the owners of these memorial pieces, they did not want to see the "behind the scene" dirty job part of the process.

Soon, hopefully, I'll have some finished photos that I can post.

Here is a beautiful bearded dragon smile in the meantime

I had the honor of preserving a deceased pet, *captive bred* Rhino Viper (Bitis nasicornis)

This is by far the coolest wet specimen I have had the privilege of creating so far. (The glass is a vintage alcohol decanter from the early 60s)

My husband and a few friends have brought to my attention that my current business name can potentially (will likely) have copyright infringement issues in the future. To avoid that, sometime this week, I'll be changing the buisness name and giving this page and my buisness cards a full revamp. Stay tuned.

I want every one of my customers to know that this will have no negative impact on the projects that I am currently working on, nor those in transit. I'll message everyone I'm currently working with directly too once the new name and page format is established.

Today I finished this piece for a friend.

She is a beloved pet rat, that passed away in her elderly years to cancer.

Her memorial box is a vintage piece made of mirrored glass. The stones I included are
Rose Quartz, representing unconditional love, and Lepidolite for releasing suffering.

The flowers included were some of the flowers that she was layed to rest on. I dried them out and saved them. πŸ–€

I might like "dead things" and taxidermy, but I still hate when animals pass away.

Despite that, I feel incredibly honored to have been asked and trusted enough to do a memorial articulation on a client's pet Black Forest Cobra. This is an opportunity that doesn't come often, and may never come again.

A frigging cobra!

I'll be picking up the body sometime today, and putting him on ice;
just until I finish the other 2 big snake projects I'm in the middle of.

Crystallized beaver skull, in a mirrored glass display, sitting on custom crafted clear acrylic mounts...Because, who doesn't want to see a crystal beaver 😏🀣

These are not borax crystals. I prefer not to share my recipe, just note that they take many weeks, not hours, to grow; they are also 3 times stronger than the common borax crystal solution. :)

I am so very proud of this piece, despite that it overwhelmed me for months trying to figure out a proper way to mount the skull without harming the glass OR the crystals

**SOLD**

This piece has a strong Everlasting Rose/Beauty/Beast vibe.
A young reticulated python spine with skull holds up a REAL preserved funeral rose; sits on real moss, that is artificially colored for vibrance, and a real rose shaped cedar pine cone.

This piece is partitialy articulated, and partially oxidized. Because of its fragile nature, it will not be available for any shipping options.

Stands nearly 17 inches tall when lid is on, and nearly 5 inches wide.

Baby Green Tree Python "skull puzzle" update:

I finally took the time and committed enough brain cells to assemble this pretty girl. Shes looking great. Those teeth are a true wonder.

I do skeleton articulations on snakes.

I recently took on a project with a *very* young green tree python.

Not gonna lie, this one will be extremely tedious and challenging. More so than the norm.

First photo shows that some of her teeth are longer than some of her ribs. 😳

Second photo is just her skull, in a puzzle, not yet assembled

Third photo are all of her ribs

4th and 5th photo is her entire body.

6th photo is the last snake I cleaned... it's shortest rib next to her biggest rib 😳

Wish me luck. I'm very hesitant of this one.

Follow me for progress.

This month has been the longest month I can ever remember having. We've moved to a new state, had to put to rest our family pet, and had a death in the human side of the family as well. In between the grief and stress, its been non stop working, from wake, to sleep. (And its been very little sleep!)

We FINALLY have all of our belongings (and bones, and plants) all in one place.

I am super grateful for the friends that came out and helped us move the bulk of this heavy stuff, and all of these snake enclosures. We SERIOUSLY wouldn't have survived this without your help!!

Now that my beetles, my freezers, and all of my bones are here, its time to start sorting out what goes where and getting my ventures back on track. I'm mid step on 4 big projects and have another, finished and due to ship out. Thank you all for your patience. You have no idea how grateful I am to have super understanding clients like you guys!!

A few amazing snake articulations that I did this year, on their way to their forever homes.

Bittersweet. I wish I could keep them 😜

My favorite articulation so far. !!! This turned out amazing !

Captive bred, (legal pet) western diamondback rattlesnake.

Client gave me free range to pose in any way that I saw fit. She also gave me her husband's deceased pet scorpion as a freebie for me to keep; however, I could not resist adding it into the finished piece, and it now sits comfortably on the back of a raccoon skull.

Hard to get a photo without a reflective glare, but here it is mounted! Frame opened, and frame closed.

4.5 foot gaboon viper, cleaned and articulated 100% by me. The spine is wired. Each vertebrae and all 242 ribs were glued down individually. The skull separated into a few dozen pieces and also had to be re-articulated and glued back together.

The one of a kind shadowbox frame is a custom build at 22x22x4.5 inches, and was hand crafted by a fellow local small buisness, Heartwood Refinishing.

Soon will be articulating a young green tree python.

I hate to see them deceased, but I'm so grateful to be part of the preservation process.

Maybe a month ago I processed and articulated a young Gaboon Viper skeleton. The experience was incredible. Seeing all the anatomy and the fangs was more exciting than I can put to words. It was my first time working with a Gaboon.

Well.... with that experience came exposure. Another Gaboon Viper owner asked me to process their deceased pet as well. This one, was much much larger. Again, I was happy to oblige just because I really have enjoyed the experience and comparing anatomy.

Here's a sneak peak at the larger snakes skeletal articulation. I just finished the skull last night, and have done this side by side comparison of its smaller counterpart.

Please note that both of these snakes were legally kept as captive display animals/pets. These are not wild animals in the sense that they were taken directly from nature.

Another fun fact... a snakes skull is not one solid mass chunk of bone, like most people know skulls to be.

All those moving parts, they move because they are held together by ligaments, muscle, and skin. Without the "meaty bits," the skull becomes a puzzle, in and of itself, to be re-assembled.

Just for fun, peep in on the size of those fangs! Guess the species.!??

ABOUT US:

We are an oddity company, specializing in non-human bone cleaning and art, and insect taxidermy. Everything we do is based from home, therefore, we are as local as it gets. We are just 2 people, so some artistic tasks may take longer than others.

We offer bone cleaning services (this service is great for hunting season) Price depends on size. You bring us a head, and using only top quality resources, we will remove the "meaty-bits" and return to you, a perfectly clean skull.

Bone whitening options are also available; as well as staining options. Staining, is the process of removing the teeth, and staining the skull any color of your choosing. The teeth are then re-inserted and glued, keeping their still white/natural teeth color. Horns/antlers will also remain white/natural color.

Bone painting is available upon request. Price varies depending on size and design type. Acrylic paint on bone, with a clear coat sealant.
