SHP Giant Steps was Special Verdict’s first show in the equitation and he sure did prove himself! “Frankie” was Champion in the Adult Equitation, first in the PCHA, and second in the THIS Adult, CPHA Foundation and Pickwick with Alex Maida in the irons. He also did a couple of open jumper classes with Leah Von Henkle winning the 1.10 and 2nd in the 1.20 out of huge groups.
Frankie is currently offered for sale or lease/option.

We had a great week at NWC4
Story Horses stepped up to the plate this week with the Derby and Open Classic win. Jamie Garcia’s horse, Best Life was fantastic in the 3’3s. Maron and All In had top prizes in the short stirrups hunters and were 3rd in their Derby.
And all the jumpers were Champion in their divisions…Shannon Jones came back from a hiatus and successfully jumped around the jumpers.. Win Win!! Thank you again for making the trip north. We can’t thank you enough.

Westhaven Farm provides a training experience that’s kind, honest, and inclusive. We train riders who want to refine their skills and enjoy their time at the barn, too. From low stirrups to medal competitions to the grand prix ring, we’re focused on your connection to your horse—and on ways to help you feel great about what you’re doing.

Our students and horses have won many prestigious awards, including medal finals, grand prix, and year-end championship awards locally, regionally and nationally.

We’re in residence at Flying J Ranch on the border of Pleasanton and Danville in San Francisco's East Bay. We welcome new horses, so if you want to learn more, I hope you will call.
