Dear Customers, In light of the recent number of upper respiratory infections being reported and treated by local vets, we are diligently increasing our cleaning and sanitizing practices. This includes an intense sanitization of all outdoor turf and runs along with frequently changing water buckets. We have also made sure our air filters are clean and indoor partitions are dust free and sanitized. We are seeing dogs affected from a few days to 2 weeks. Some of these dogs have not visited our facility in months so we know it is not limited to us. Most of the vets I have spoken with are terming this as some sort of bronchitis rather than kennel cough or K9 influenza If you have concerns about board or daycare please free to contact us and we will share any updated information we have. If this goes unchecked much longer we may consider closing down for a period of time. We are not willing to risk the well being of our pets for the sake of a few dollars. We will keep you advised. Dear Customers,
In light of recent videos being circulated on social media I would like to shed some insight to best of my ability and be as transparent as possible.
I received the videos on Friday, April 26th from PETA. After reviewing them I spoke with the employee involved first thing on her next scheduled work day Monday April 29th. At this time her employment was terminated immediately ! Apparently the videos had been recorded some time ago but were not presented to me when the incidents occurred. Only after our previous groomer ( who captured the videos ) was terminated on April 15th did she decide it was in her best interest to release them to PETA. The withholding of evidence of inexcusable behavior by a fellow employee to me is almost as reprehensible as the act itself. In addition, the installment of video surveillance cameras has been scheduled which will provide me with constant monitoring of all grooming activities in the future.
We deeply regret any of this occurred and I assure you these were isolated incidents . We have served Danville and the surrounding areas for 16 years and our reputation is excellent. I have spoken with numerous customers about the situation and they have been very supportive. For this we thank you !
In conclusion , I stand by and have full trust in the current staff here at Hollywood Pets , especially our new groomer Sydney Bayless, who started on April 29th ! I am available to try and answer any and all questions for our current customers regarding my handling of these events.

Hollywood Pets' Grooming Salon is seeking a full-time experienced groomer for an immediate opening! This is a 5-day week position with earning potential upwards of $50k annually, depending on experience and willingness to work. It's a commission-based position, either as an employee or independent contractor. References and a trial period are required to assess the quality of work. The ideal candidate should be capable of handling all breeds and willing to take the necessary steps to groom difficult dogs. Grooming cats is a plus but not required. It's coat blowing season!! We have a custom built blow-out room for our furry friends. This process does not hurt them and actually feels good to most. Under coat can get stuck so brushing it and force blowing it helps remove the build up for double coated dogs!
