Welcome Krissy and her adopted babies to rescue!

Krissy is the sweetest 19lb two year old chihuahua mix girl! She was a stray brought to a local shelter full of milk, but the owners were “unable to find” her puppies and the ultrasound did not show that she was pregnant. The day before she was set to come to us, three bottle babies were brought into the shelter because their mother was attacking them.

Krissy immediately took in the babies as her own and has been taking amazing care of them since! She has been doing great with us and is loving to all dogs and people. She will be going to an amazing foster on Friday!

Fast forward to today, Krissy’s original 7 puppies were magically “found” and brought into the shelter. They are estimated to be about 7 weeks old and have obviously been well taken care of by Krissy before they were separated, but are now covered in fleas. They will be coming to us on Friday and would love a foster of their own!

Continuing with Paddy!

This handsome guy has been with us since the beginning of March last year, hence his festive name. He was found as a stray with a chain imbedded in his neck and heartworm positive. When he came to us he was terrified of people and preferred to hide or run away. Almost a year later, he is a completely different dog!

Paddy is the perfect size at 45lbs and totally out of the puppy chewing stage at 2-3 years old. He love love loves playing with other dogs, toys(the one in all his pictures specifically), and all of the cuddles! He walks well on a leash, is crate trained, and does well in the car.

Paddy’s only problem is the initial meet and greet. Due to the obvious neglect and abuse he suffered before he came to us, new people can be frightening. After slow introductions around people he trusts, he is more than happy to show you how precious he truly is!

Paddy has been fully vetted including his heartworm treatment and prevention, neutered, up to date on all vaccinations, current on flea and tick prevention, microchipped, and has a negative f***l.

Next up is Cambrie!

This precious girl came to us as part of a cruelty case severely malnourished and neglected. She was totally skin, bones, and wounds when she came to us almost a year ago. Since then she has gained much needed weight(and a few extra pounds) as well as discovered a love for both people and other animals.

Miss Cambrie is our resident dog tester! It’s super hard to upset her and she has helped calm down our rowdiest friends as well as bring our shyest newcomers out of their shell. She has never met a dog or person she doesn’t love! She loves to go for walks, play with toys, take naps on the couch, and everything in between!

The only reason we can think for Cambrie being looked over so many times is due to her breed. We promise she is much more than that and would make a perfect addition to any family!

Cambrie is fully vetted including spay, microchip, up to date on all vaccines, on flea and tick prevention, has a negative f***l, and is heartworm negative and on prevention.

Next on our list is Campbell!

We first met this beautiful girl when she was severely underweight + covered in scabs on the euthanasia list at a local shelter. She was just as sweet then as now despite everything she undoubtedly went through!

Since Campbell has been with us the past few months, she has put on much needed weight and her skin has fully healed. She walks well on a leash, is crate and house trained, does well with other animals + kids, and is a total love bug! Campbell got the chance to meet out local Boy Scout Troop and did amazing as well! Her favorite thing in the world is hugs + kisses while being held like a baby.

Cambell is fully vetted including heartworm negative and on prevention, spayed, fully vaccinated, microchipped, on flea and tick prevention, and has a negative f***l. She weighs about 45 lbs and is estimated to be 4 years old.

Continuing with our babies who have been waiting wayyy too long for a furever home, Collin!

Collin came to us from a local shelter on the euthanasia list at 4-5 months old, he is now 9-10 months old. He is a sweet + goofy 45-50 pound boy who loves life! Although Collin has grown up in rescue and therefore missed a lot of what life has to offer he does love car rides, all the cuddles, playing with other dog friends, toys + treats, and warm beds!

This handsome guy’s ideal home would be on the more active side with a large fenced in yard and another friend to play with! He is more than happy to entertain himself when left alone, but also prefers to be with his family.

Continuing with our series of long term residents way past due for their furever homes, Serina! This sweet girl joined us in March along with her sister from the same rural shelter that did not have public adoptions.

While Serina is definitely the more outgoing of the two, she also came to us Heartworm positive. We began treating those in March and she is totally finished with her treatments!(at no additional cost to her adopters)

Serina has been with us since March and would love nothing more than a furever or even foster home of her own! She is crate trained, loves playing with other dogs, walks well on a leash, and loves kisses! She would make the perfect playmate for a medium energy dog or be a great hiking buddy!

Serina has received Heartworm treatment + is current on prevention, spayed, current on vaccines, on flea and tick prevention, has a negative f***l, and is microchipped. She is around 2-3 years old and a little over 50lbs.

To start the year off, we wanted to once again highlight some of our amazing long term residents who would love nothing more than a furever home!!!

This beautiful girl is Alina! She came to us almost a year ago from a rural shelter who did not do public adoptions. She was terrified of people, new things and surroundings, and really untrusting that people could be good to her. Her as well as her sister have come such a long way since coming to us!

Alina has been at a foster for the past few months where she has been working on crate training, basic commands, and playing with toys instead of shoes(a super easy mistake to make). She does well with kids, other dogs + cats, is a perfect car rider, and excellent cuddler! It does take Alina a few days to come out of her shell in new environments, but once she’s comfortable it is definitely worth the wait!

Alina is fully vetted including spay, heartworm negative and on prevention, microchipped, current on all vaccines, has a negative f***l, and is on flea and tick prevention! She is 2-3 years old and weighs a little over 50lbs.

Today is officially Pearl’s ride to her furever home!!

This precious girl has been with us for 239 days. During this time she has been looked over by so many people as she completed heartworm treatment, was spayed, had her wounds treated, and received medications for skin infections. She has also gained much needed weight(with just a little extra on top)!

Pearl truly deserves the best life has to offer and we are thankful to get to be apart of it! Please consider opening up your home to a rescue dog in need such as Pearl! Fosters make all the difference when it comes to personalized training + socialization, the number of dogs we are able to help, and so much more!

As the year comes to an end, we wanted to share how thankful we are for everyone who has helped us in any way, shape, or form! Our small rescue has saved 500 dogs & cats this year with the help of our amazing fosters, rescue partners, adopters, and donors!

This year we have taken in animals as young as hours old to as old as 15+. We have lost some of our personal babies as well as some of our rescue babies, but there have also been so many amazing recovery and adoption stories!

We are thankful for every animal we have saved and look forward to all of the animals we will save in the upcoming year!

Welcome Charlotte to rescue!

One of our last saves of 2024, Charlotte was surrendered to a local shelter after a cruelty investigation revealed she was stuck in a small crate full of her own urine and f***s. On top of how terrible that fate is on its own, she developed severe malnutrition resulting in refeeding as well as burns and infection on her skin needing medicated baths and antibiotics.

This precious girl is estimated to be about 4 years old, so there is no telling how long she was forced to live like this. Since coming to us, she has been started on all necessary medical treatments as well as begun learning what it’s like to be a dog! She loves her warm bed, all of the snacks, play groups with other dogs, and especially cuddles.

This special girl deserves the best life has to offer and we are determined to set her on the right path to reach that! Charlotte is currently not available for adoption due to her medical requirements, but we would consider an approved + experienced foster.

Charlotte would also be more than thankful for any canned food donations(she is receiving small meals 5x daily), beds and blankets(as it’s super cold when you’re skin and bones), and anything else anyone would like to donate from our Chewy and Amazon wishlists linked on our website!
