Meet Gracyn!

This pretty girl was adopted from the shelter as a puppy, returned because she was too “high energy”, then was at risk at the shelter due to overcrowding so we decided to take her in! This 11 month old 50 pound girl is as sweet as they come!

Despite all of the shuffling around she’s done in her short life, she loves everyone and everything! She is definitely shy at first around new people and friends, but warms up quickly. She is currently working on basic manners, walks well on a leash, loves being around other animals, and is very treat motivated!

She is fully vetted and ready for her furever home! Please apply to foster/ adopt Gracyn on our website!

Welcome Lemon to Rescue!

This precious older lady has obviously been through a lot in her life. She was brought into the shelter with terrible skin and eye infections, is in need of a dental, and was not up to date on any of her vetting. She has been/ is being treated for all of her medical problems and is doing great!

She is estimated to be 8-10 years old and weighs about 40 pounds. Lemon loves other dogs and is currently buddies with a sweet one year old girl that we also just took in! She walks well on a leash, is an amazing car rider, and is overall just a happy girl!

If you love older bully breeds as much as we do, please consider donating to Lemon’s care or applying to foster/ adopt her! All of the links can be found on our website!

Meet Ducky & Malek!

Starting with Ducky, she originally came to us severely malnourished with enlarged intestines and internal parasite infestations. After several weeks of medication and regular scans checking for progress, she will be undergoing exploratory surgery(including her spay) to figure out exactly what is going on with her digestive system. The biggest concern for her currently is that the enlargement of the digestive organs is causing excess pressure on other important organs such as her heart and lungs. She is also already 5 months old and while she has retained baby teeth which aren’t too much of a concern, we are also keeping an eye on her leg growth to assure it is able to keep up with her body’s needs! This doesn’t slow her down and she is the happiest, easiest going, most loving little girl!

Malek came to us from a local shelter with mass infestation of fleas and hair loss. When we picked him up from the shelter originally, the bed he was on was covered in blood + fleas, as well as his skin and hair making it difficult to see the full extent of the damage. After a good bath, Capstar and regular flea and tick prevention, we are hopeful he is on the path to healing his skin and hair loss with proper nutrition and hygiene. Due to his age and poor previous living conditions, Malek is unable to eat any kind of hard dog food. He is missing the majority of his teeth and is unable to close his mouth fully so he loses a large portion of what he attempts to eat. He will need a dental, neuter, as well as all of his routine vetting he has obviously gone without.

In order to be able to address all of these medical needs, donations are so so important for Ducky & Malek’s continued care! Donations can come in the form of call in donations to Crow Veterinary Clinic in Moulton who is handling their care, donating through the donations tab on our website which has our PayPal, Venmo, and Cashapp, or through purchasing beds, blankets, specialty dog food, etc that can be found on our Chewy and Amazon Wishlists!

We are so thankful for any and all help!!!

Just a reminder about some of our longer term residents who would love an adoptive or foster(even if temporary) home! Getting to see how each of them do around things such as other pets, children, day to day life, and house training helps more than we can say when it comes to adoptions!

We do have some things that are important for our fosters to have simply for the safety of our babies, your babies, and ease of experience!

- A fenced in yard or a plan to monitor/ be with them when they are going outside the home.
- Other pets in the home being up to date on vaccines and preventatives as our babies are in order to prevent the spread of any germs.
- The most important is a little bit of time to spend with them each day in order to help them become their best selves!

We have dogs of all ages, shapes, sizes, personalities, and energy levels looking for a foster! If you have any questions about whether you might be a good fit or are interested in finding out more, please send us a message or fill out the foster application found on our website!

Meet Sesame!!

This girl joined us after we picked her up off the side of the road in front of a dump about three weeks ago. She was sitting in the middle of the road and immediately jumped up and down with relief on the side of the car once she realized she was getting help!

Seaseme does seem to have had a home at one point, but no one claimed her since being with us. She had a limp when coming to us, but has since recovered from it. Seaseme is a super happy girl who loves everyone she meets! As with any husky, she does like to talk and is fully of energy. She also loves to cuddle, walks well on a leash, keeps a clean crate, loves all animals she meets, and is the sweetest girl!

She is around 2 years old and about 45lbs. Sesame is fully vetted including spay, microchipped, heartworm negative and on prevention, current on flea and tick prevention, fully vaccinated, and has received wormer + a course of albon.

This precious girl is ready for the perfect furever home of her own! If interested, our adoption application can be found under the adoption tab on our website.

Welcome Cassidy to Rescue!

This sweet girl was turned into the shelter as a stray showing obvious signs of neglect. She was turned in with her friend Peanut, a chihuahua who we will post soon.

Cassidy is infested with worms! Her belly is so round to the point you can’t tell the extent of how skinny she really is. She is also covered in wounds + has a fungal infection requiring medicine. She is getting all of the wormer, snacks, and cuddles now that she’s with us!

Despite her background, Cassidy is as precious as can be! She loves to follow around her person + dog friends, sits for food and treats, and tries her best to keep a clean kennel!

We are so thankful for any and all donations that allow us to help babies like Cassidy who are in such dire need!

This week we took in 16 dogs and puppies!!

Meet Scarlett and Rhett!

These two babies were found abandoned at a city dump. They were both severely matted and had to be shaved in order to see the extent of their injuries & medical needs. Scarlett got the worst of it with severe ear infections, scattered wounds and scabs, and terrible eye infections that have left her visually impaired in one eye as well as possibly blind in the other.

As rough as they look, they are only about 5-6 years old. Despite everything they have been through, they are both super happy pups! Rhett enjoys going for walks and playing with other dogs while Scarlett is more laid back and is still adjusting to having limited vision.

We are currently addressing all of their medical issues in addition to vaccines, preventatives, and spay/neuter. As always any and all help will be appreciated! All donations are tax deductible and can be found on the donation tab on our website linked in bio!
