All of my dogs are desperately needing forever homes, but Chip is my oldest guy.
He’s 9-10 years old! He needs to be on a couch not in a kennel 💔He’s been with me for years waiting and wishing.
People and children are his best friends. He’s lived with a large dog previously and done well with ones here. He has prey drive to cats, and other small critters. That really is his only issue.

We are always looking for fun new ideas to keep our shelter pups entertained and mentally stimulated. We have some heavy chewers that like to devour Kongs so this was a great alternative!

Update; dog secured!
PSA; a dog was dumped on our property Sunday night at 9:50 pm. We have been unable to catch him. Animal control has set a trap. Please do not feed him or call to alert us about him. I also will post in comments another video of one of the adults who dumped him. If you recognize the owner or the dog, send us info to [email protected]

You might have seen the cuteness that is Eisley and adoptable Sully on our TikTok. He’s 4 years old and has been waiting too long for a real home (like all of our current dogs)

Does anyone recognize this thief?
Our wagon was stolen on Sunday night 2/4-2/5 Monday morning. He walked up from Collett Street around 10:47 pm, found the wagon was locked up, left, returned around 3:21 am Monday with a tool to cut the lock and take the wagon. Sorry for poor quality of footage, hoping someone recognizes his outfit and proximity to the shelter. Call or email us if you have any info on him 217-446-4110 [email protected] or you can contact the Danville Police Department who also have these videos.
We will need to purchase a new wagon, Amazon has them for around $130 if you’d like to donate towards a new one. Please share!
