Percy is finally ready for his forever family!

He’s been waiting patiently since November.

It’s near impossible to leave any of the shelters we visit without adding just a few more.

I wasn’t ready for puppies…in all fairness I never am (😂) BUT 8 week old puppies deserve to be housed together & out of all the noise. Thankfully we were able to make room. Now they can learn from each other while they wait to be adoption ready.

Yesterday we took a little road trip to Montgomery to have Pudgy’s eyes fixed.

If you can’t tell his cherry eyes had their own personalities. 🍒+👀

We are beyond thankful for our shelter friends. THANK YOU!

Pudgy has been with us since November along with his brother Percy. Both came from a hoarder when they were no longer able to care for them.

And of course we couldn’t leave empty handed but we will post their pictures later. 🤦‍♀️

🗣️ PSA…

If you are planning to adopt from any of our local shelters & have cats I would strongly suggest seeing if you are able to foster before adopting.

We’ve received multiple requests in the last few months from people needing to rehome dogs they’ve adopted from a shelter environment. Specifically in regard to them harming a cat within their new home.

We CANNOT assist especially if the dog needing to be rehomed has endangered another animal or human in your home.

✨ If you do not feel safe with a dog in your home attempting to receive help from a foster based rescue is not the way.

Every now & then my heartstrings get me in trouble…

This little lady just happened to be in the kennel next to my dog at the vet. When she hit me with those big sad eyes I was done. Queue our newest intake…

This sweetie has had a rough 3-4 years. She is missing all of her toes on her back right paw, itchy, over bred, & of course heartworm positive.

A Good Samaritan took her in after someone had her caged in the back of their truck with other “farm” animals. Her saviors could hear her crying & barking from outside their home.

My heatstrings ALWAYS cost more than a pretty penny & we could use some help to for her care.

She will move to her foster home today & start 30 days of doxy before we complete her fastkill heartworm treatment.

Life with Mistletoe 🥰

In case anyone had any doubts on the size of Mistletoe’s head…this should clear those right up.

Mistletoe is officially ready to find her forever family!

She is fostered with other dogs, cats, & young kids. She would prefer to be the only dog & no cats (she can be a little obsessive). With that said she has done very well with kids.

She does coexist fine with the other dogs in her foster home but she gets little enjoyment from their company.

👋 Welcome to our newest arrival…Theo!

Theo was left behind when his owners moved & ended up at a local overcrowded shelter. So far he is a happy go lucky guy. He’s a smaller guy weighing in around 35lbs at a year old.

Once he settles in & is neutered we will begin the search for his new family.
