Individually tong feeding the babies is really time consuming but it's great for socializing them. Just a few days ago I couldn't get near these guys, now they jump on my hand and I have to peel them off

Frank is one of the prettiest and by far the goofiest ackie monitor I've ever seen. It's a shame he wasn't cared for better when he was young.

Well hello there little one!

I'm still tweaking them little by little but I'm pretty happy with the hatchling setups. They all have T5 linear UVB and a DHP for ambient heat. The bottom 4 have two 35w nano halogens for basking and the top one has a dimmed 50w halogen.

I might switch to sliding doors on the top one and do the lighting the same way I did the bottom ones, but that can wait until it's empty.

This is why I love building and making things for my monitors. This was a piece of old rotten oak tree that I liked so I cut it off and took the rot off with chisels. I spent about an hour chiseling out where he's laying because I thought it would make a nice spot for him to lay. I guess I was right!

Also, this guy sleeps in some of the weirdest positions. Both front legs back and under him and one back leg in the air 😂
