This beast is reserved. It's one of the biggest and friendliest.
Short update on the little runt that I hatched last year. It eats like a pig and acts perfectly normal. Its head still doesn't shed quite right but otherwise it seems perfectly healthy. It's one of the friendliest little creatures I've ever seen and I'm glad I gave it a chance.
Look at how patient and careful he is #blackdragon #reptiles #monitorlizard
Mr. Bubbles is starting to settle in here finally
She's still really jumpy but I think she'll come around eventually
Mental stimulation is really important for captive animals. Swap cork tubes between enclosures to give them some new smells
What a curious and friendly little log
The more time I spend with tree monitors the more I like them. They're incredibly intelligent and athletic.
I find it funny because greens are the second monitor species I got and I didn't like them at the time. I came close to selling this guy years ago and I'm really glad I didn't!
He still doesn't fully trust me but we're making progress. I've been working with him for over 3 years and I still haven't quite figured him out.
I can't wait to see this one in a couple months. I hope nobody wants it
Some breeders don't handle or socialize their babies at all and I don't have a clue how they do it. I could spend half the day with them
